I've got a 20th anniversary edition, which I think is beautifully made.

Up, two, three, four...
Wonder if there will be a more pricey edition which comes with a collectable bag of peanuts and a numbered current-bun?
Flippant, sure, but further edition might examine the influence of the movie on other films, a good example being when Tim Burton used music cues and atmosphere from it in Batman Returns.

I wish "you" North Americans would stop saying that, when it's blatantly untrue.
There are stacks of examples of exclusive titles to North America not released anywhere else.
p.s - Great way to alienate the Scotts, Welsh and Irish (Ireland gets UK DVDs too). I'm sure they love being called English

Someone over at Optimum must be on the Red Bull or something. Every new DVD announcement seems to be an Optimum release or re-mould.

It's worth remembering the R1 Paramount was overseen by the Director, none of the UK DVDs are (I doubt this one is) and has DD5.1.
The R1 also has similar extras (some interviews). Considering the R1 is Director Approved I'd likely get that over this SE. Although I'm waiting for the BD. I never got around to picking up the HD-DVD.
The current UK DVD only has DD2.0. I wonder if this new DVD will have DD5.1. Chris?
