Anchor Bay Home Entertainment has announced a Blu-ray release of The Evil Dead for August 31st. Retail will be around $29.97. As well as a new hi-def transfer supervised and approved by director Sam Raimi, the Blu-ray release will include an all-new commentary with director Sam Raimi, producer Robert Tapert, and star Bruce Campbell, behind the scenes footage and outtakes, talent bios, a poster and still gallery, and more.
