But as the 24 volunteers slip deeper into their roles, power corrupts, fears escalate and the experiment spins horribly out of control. Cam Gigandet (Twilight), Clifton Collins Jr. (Crank: High Voltage) and Maggie Grace (TV’s “Lost”) co-star in this intensely shocking film.

Seemed like a cool movie. Cover art sucks (saw it on another website) but it sounds good enough for me to grab it at the redbox or something.

Definite rental. Looks good and the cast is intriguing.
From what I've read the studio lost faith in this movie because a few similar titles kind of bombed, Repo Men being one of them. Haven't seen the original of this but with that cast I would check it out.
Adrien Brody was great in Predators by the way, wonderful performance.

Hmm, I hate to break it to the Sony synapse writer, but Brody was in the Pianist, not the Piano.
Sucks that it looks like this is only going to DVD. The original is great and the cast on this one looks promising.
Artwork added for the DVD release...
I haven't been able to make myself sit through the original yet even though I've heard just about only great things. I have to admit I'm very shocked this is just suddenly being dumped to DVD. Will see this after I see the original.
I wonder how many movies they'll make using this exact same concept. Ridiculous. I'm surprised big name stars are doing this.

Man, Brody needs a nose job really bad... it's like a beak.
Sounds like it was based, or should I say loosely based on the Stanford Prison Experiment back in 1971.
Here's the website that's dedicated to the whole University experiment:

And of course, the Wikipedia article:
