I want more 3-D horror movies!!!!!!!!!
I want more 3-D horror movies!!!!!!!!!
I liked it! You guys are failing to realize this movie was a celebration of the FD series as a whole. Hence the opening titles featuring all the classic deaths from all three movies.

Well, that's all you get for home 3D movies for now... aside from the orange/ purple versions which are *slightly* better...
You cannot use the polarised 3D glasses with LCD TVs....
I notice they have a end date for the digital copy.....
Still will get this as the others have been good beer night movies...

Apparently they scheduled a release for all four films in a quadriology boxset some time ago, but they pulled the schedule out. No news so far..

Not sure why people are picking it up for 3D. The technology simply doesn't work very well in a home cinema environment at the moment. Great in a properly equipped cinema, but that's where it'll stay for me for the time being.
Blu-ray artwork added
So, based on the add, they're back to red/blue cardboard 3-D glasses?

There were also commentaries in FD2 and FD3. This movie has some lame bonus features just like the movie itself.

The only people that will see the double feature of the "Toy Story" movies in 3-D are little kids who weren't even born around the times that the first two films were originally released and maybe would like to see those movies so that the parents can buy the movies for the kids. It's better for people like us to at least wait for "Toy Story 3" to come out in Disney Digital 3D.

Back cover added for the Blu-ray release - no idea why they've released that before the front cover!
why would anyone want 3D for home? we are faaaaaar from having theater quality 3D in home televisions. all these recent 3D movies on dvd/blu-ray use the c**ppy red/blue effect which never works.
I fail to understand how this can't have a commentary. The original movie's dvd had THREE commentaries.
As a HUGE fan of 2 I was excited for this one, will buy it because I'm a completist but overall thought the movie was horrendous. The added race scenes were pointless to me.

Idiocracy is the new reality!
The reason why people get enjoyment from people getting killed is because we know it isn't real. It's just computer-generated technical stuff. Since we know it's all crazy and unrealistic, that's why it's fun. It sounds weird now, but you'll know what I mean.

Why do you care about the 3-D being unattached to Up. There was nothing really gimmicky or 3-D about it. At least, The final destination had a lot of 3-D. It would be weird to watch the film in 2-D, when literally every minute, it's stuff coming out at you. With Ice Age 3, Fox is too cheap to attach the 3-D with the film. They have sunk so low because they are even making the 3-D companies pay the 3-D charges, which is like $15 million! With Toy story, they are not going to make it in 3-D. That was just a marketing ploy to rekindle the two iconic films. Moreover, there was nothing too 3-D about those either.

I'm glad I am not the only person who noticed this! I hate all these stupid quotes on dvd art anymore, it's annoying. When I think of a movie, I like to think of what *I* thought of the movie, I couldn't give a sh*t what some random other person said about it! It's an eyesore.

i didn't like the film,
Acting in this movie was horrible. However, it was still fun and Shantel VanSanten who is now on One Tree Hill is very hot, so I will definitely get this one.
So no one would confuse it with the first one? haha. They needed to be more creative with the title of this one.
I thought this was pretty fun in 3D. Glad they stuck with the poster art.
Hopefully, the additional scenes are plentiful as that is the reason I'm interested. The movie felt way too rushed.
I'll buy it for 3D

DVD users once again getting short changed. I was a bit worried when I clicked the page link. Yup.
I hate this c**p.
I hate this c**p.
As an FD fan, I hoped for more special features. I mean, parts 2 and 3 had a lot of features. This movie has like on featurette and that's it. I thought it was the worst of the 4 and the death scenes were beyond lame, some even borrowed from the previous films! This is one of the most disappointing films of the year.
Nice, New Line is now straying away from including a useless foolscreen option on the same disc (I expected this pic to have a similar release like last year's "Journey to the Center of the Earth" -- 3-D widescreen version on one side and both foolscreen and widescreen 2-D versions on the other). Perhaps Warners is now going widescreen only on their 2010 release schedule? One can only hope they've seen the light like Universal and Paramount did.
Ugh, I hate when studios give special features exclusively to Blu-Ray. I mean, a few featurettes is fine, but leaving the standard DVD practically bare-bones and the Blu-Ray chock-full of features is ridiculous.
Fun movie but I'm not sure if I'll get it right now. I think I'll wait when it's pretty cheap on blu-ray.

If you Really want to buy all of the FD movies in one shot, believe me, this franchise won't stop at #4. It will keep going & going just like that SAW. Probably you should estimate how many sequels of this will appear during your lifetime.

The best way to describe this movie is "Dumb, but fun." Will pick up because of the 3D
Awful movie. Very cheesy. Its as if they didnt take time to write a story, they just focused on teen deaths...
Why bother add the "3D" in there, very messy as said before. I would rather the UK/Europe poster with "Final Destination 4" on it. If they wanted the "3D" in there, they should have left it at it's former name, "Final Destination 4: Death Trip 3D". I hate how they slapped "the" on there, I mean come on this one did better then all 3 previous films, this won't be "the" last one in the series. I didn't mind this, although this movie never needed any sequels IMO.

However, I wont be buying it. Unneeded and stupid sequel. Horrible deaths.
That's for the UK. December 21st, to be correct.
I agree with what you said about the film, however I'll still be buying it, if only to complete my collection.
Oh OK, gotcha. I'll probably buy the box set, if they release another with this one which I'm sure they will.

Terrible film, but it was fun to watch especially in 3-D (and it did have a sense of humor like the second one, which Ellis directed too). Hands down it was more fun than the truly awful "Halloween 2." There's just no excuse for a horror movie like that to suck so badly and c**p on the franchise too.
Terrible artwork. Way too cluttered. And why did they feel the need to add "IN 3-D" to the title?

Actually on Wikipedia, it says that they are releasing the quadrilogy box set of all Final Destination films, including the modern one, at the same time as they are releasing The final destination 3-D.

Like the cover. So, wonder if it'll be a 2-disk edition like My Bloody Valentine?
There's no plot here. It's all about the killings. And how gruesome they are, and how much blood they shed. The scenes that hurt are the ones where no-one dies, and the scenes that can even be called exciting are the ones where people die. On that note, most the deaths weren't even fun.
I'm just frustrated, cause I'm a big, big fan of the first three. I love them. And I'm sorry to say, but this was just plain, bad, c**p. The first three were of those "so bad, it's good" variety, but this one just falls under the "so bad, it's so bad" category.

It was ok, they should've used the regular theatrical poster though with the cast standing.
This movie was so generic it hurt.
i didn't like the film, thought it was too short, was rushed, the worst of the 4 in my opinion

I actually thought this movie was better than everybody else thought. Sure the acting and story are thrown out the window, but sometimes you just have to leave your brain at the door and kill a few hours. I don't mind thinking in films, but every film doesn't have to be thought-provoking or Oscar caliber. I wanted to see gruesome deaths and be entertained and that's what I got. I'm definitely picking this up on day one.
