Lame artwork is fully forgiven, just because it's the motherf**king Fountain.
Aweful artwork...

Would love to see this.
what the f**k is wrong with Warner bros c**ppy artworks?!!!
Usually I would be angry about such awful artwork but this time I'm just so happy that it's finally getting announced that I really couldn't care less about artwork.
the first thing i thought when i saw the artwork is that there was no reason to change it from the awesome poster. but after looking at it for a little...i don't hate it as much as everyone else here seems to.
Cover looks like the last c**p I took.
Tristan & Isolde - BRILLIANT comparison. Would've never thought of that, but it's true these covers are all the same.
This really sucks. The best film of 2006 gets one of the worst DVD covers.

Freaking awful cover. This movie deserved better.
Must buy here, although the artwork leaves something to be desired...
Man, that IS terrible. Are monkeys designing these things?
I'd normally be pretty pissed off, but the joy of owning this makes me forget about it.

weird, complex, intresting and cool. cant wait to watch it again. the artwork is just ok.
What else needs to be said about this pathetic cover art. ahh warner bros, weak warners... lame.
what an ugly cover!!! :S yuk
Whoever ok'd that art needs to be shot.
Now, is this gonna be the PG-13 cut or Aronofsky's original cut?

I loved this movie, one of my favorites of 2006. I won't say that this film was snubbed from the Oscars because it is one of those movies that you either love or hate. However, I will say that Clint Mansel's score was snubbed and it was WAY, WAY, WAY better thatn Babel's score.
Regarding the DVD releas, If they don't release the original R-rated cut then there will probably be a 2-disc edition later on. The cover is awful by the way.

The film, I thought, was quite disappointing, but still filled with great visuals and two very good performances. Overall, I liked it but I didn't love it, probably because it was mis-advertised and it was a bit of a mess. On another note, the artwork is so horrible!!! Why didn't they use the theatrical poster??? Or even other posters that were 10x better than this.
PS- Why is everyone bashing Warner all of a Sudden? 8/10 their dvd artwork is very good. Unfortunately, this is one of those 2/10 times.

I forgot to mention that how can this movie not get a better edition later on if Flag of our Fathers (a movie that didn't do well at the boxoffice like this one) is already getting a 2-disc collector's edition.
I have been waiting for this one. Artwork kinda sucks. Should have stuck with the Poster.
I want to see this film. I wish it has an audio commentary, but you know since it's Warner that they don't usually put audio commentaries on their discs that much anymore. Yep, that is an ugly cover.
Maybe there'll be an o-ring with the original poster art...it's happened before. We can hope.
I can't wait to see this finally.
I can't wait to see this finally.
....And the award for the worst cover art goes to....
Finally they announce it. That's way too late of a release date and the artwork is friggin awful. It doesn't even remind me the slightest of the movie. I love this movie with everything I have, but I hate Warner Brothers. Disappointing, disappointing, dissapointing.
Aronofsky has said in recent interviews that the PG-13 cut is the only cut. And yes, Mansell should've at least been nominated for best score. It's on my ipod right now.
wow memorail day week that took a while considering the box office numbers didnt do as well but i wanted to see this i hope theres a blu ray in the works to i would love to see this film in HD

Quote: Yesterday, today, tomorrow. Past, present, future. Through time and space, one man embarks on a bold 1000-year odyssey to defeat humankind's most indomitable foe: Death. Hugh Jackman plays that man, devoted to one woman (Rachel Weisz) and determined to protect her from forces that threaten her existence. His quest leads him to a Tree of Life...and to an adventure into eternity. Darren Aronofsky (Pi, Requiem for a Dream) directs, continuing his string of imaginative, involving filmmaking with a tale alive with ideas and filled with astonishing vistas. "Not many films can blow your mind and break your heart at the same time, but this one will" (Drew McWeeny, Ain't It Cool News).
