Fox Home Entertainment has announced a Blu-ray release of The Girl Next Door which stars Elisha Cuthbert, and Emile Hirsch. The disc will be available to own from the 1st September, and should retail at around $29.99. The unrated version of the film will be presented in widescreen, along with English 5.1 DTS HD Master Audio. Extras will include commentary by Director Luke Greenfield, scene specific commentary by Emile Hirsch and Elisha Cuthbert, featurettes ("The Eli Experience", "Making of A Look Next Door", "Sex Education"), 15 deleted scenes, an original ending, a gag reel, and trailes. The artwork is attached below:

I'm surprised at how much this film is loved. I watched it once, and never had a want to watch it again. (Although I did enjoy seeing a WWE wrestler, Luther Reigns, in it.) The comedy was fair, but the fact that you have a former porn star that is never nude for viewers of the movie is frustrating to watch.

I liked it too, critics mostly hated it. I got lucky my friend and i saw a sneak preview on a saturday night and then the movie got delayed for like a month. That was always kinda cool. I dont know if HD will REALLY benefit a film like this but oh well

its nice to see that cover without the big brown "UNRATED" banner the dvd had...now we get to appreciate elisha.
