Great coverart! I just hope they put some good features on this disc.
They're really serious with ripping-off (excuse me, "Homaging"
Casablanca, aren't they?

Among a million other posters from that era. Casablanca wasn't the only movie made in the forties, you know.

That's how many posters in the forties looked. And considering the subject of the film, I wouldn't expect anything else.
Wonder if it will be in the original 1.66:1 ratio.
good cover..but i just somehow don't like Clooney :/
Great cover. Too bad I found the film to be average. I was bored and while the performances were good, the story itself felt lacking in some way. Worth a rental at least. I'd buy it for $5

The film itself has a lot of homage to Casablanca (the final scene comes to mind).
Great movie. I'll definitely pick it up.

Thomas Newman was robbed. maybe he should abandon the orchestra and only use a guitar for his next movie
and how can anyone not like Clooney? the man is cool

Been waiting for this one....amazing film
I like that artwork. It was never playing in my town, so I'll rent it.

Thomas Newman? Don't get me wrong, I love Thomas Newman but it was Javier Naverette that was robbed. I can get nitty and gritty and tell you that it was Hans Zimmer that was truly robbed. The Da Vinci Code was honestly the best score of the year and I'm not just saying that cause of that picture below, lol.

And you know what? It's not like Casablanca was the most original movie of all time. Just because a movie wants to pay respect to another movie doesn't mean it's "ripping it off". People make it sound like it's stealing.

That's one reason.

Love this movie (but then again I'm the biggest Soderbergh fan) I actually like Clooney and I do think Thomas Newman was robbed of an Oscar.
Was this even in theaters?

Finally! I wanted to see this!
Even if you do think it's cribbing from movie posters of the 40's, it's still so utterly retro that it has circled the block and become pretty original again...."what's old is new" and all that. Kudos!...Now if only I was just a little more interested in seeing the actual movie...
It was supposed to go wide on January 19th.
WTF happened WB?!
Anyway, I love that artwork! *drool*

first The Good German, then Seraphim Falls. i don't know how these movies with some of the biggest box office draws in the world can practically go straight to dvd.
somebody f**ked up BIG TIME.

This film was a disappointment for me. I liked it, but I was expecting something great (not just good).
I thought I was going to be seeing a 1940s film only made today. Well they screwed that up proper. What was the point? It was 1.85:1 where I saw it and it didn't follow the Code as I thought it would seeing as how it was supposed to be a technically made in 1940 movie.
The music was the best part, but it was instantly forgettable.
The opening credits were true to the '40s so I was really excited. But they ruined it by having end credits like any other movie. Obviously credit is due to everyone who worked on the movie, but it would've gotten a few extra points in my book if it said "The End", and that was that.
All in all it was an ok period piece. But failed on the whole technical point of the movie, which is what attracted it to me in the first place, and what they set out to do. It's almost exactly like "Grind House" being seperated overseas.

Didn't see the film, love the artwork though.
George has his good movies and his really bad movies.... This was not a good one...
It wasn't "Really bad" either.
Haven`t seen it yet (as it is isn`t released here yet) but can`t wait to see it. The cover is great to begin with :D
