Really wanted to see this one but never got the chance. Heard really good things about it though. I'm digging that artwork to.

man.. the poster was great, and this just makes it look like a Bourne film. That font on the back is atrocious. And there a half dozen characters with bigger parts than Jolie & De Niro.
It's a damn fine film though. Looking forward to De Niro's future films.

My wallet screams for mercy! Please do not come out in March I say! too many other movies to buy! My forecast sees nothing in April however.

Let's all wait for a director's cut, rumoured to be almost 4 hours.
Really? A 4 hour cut will never get released. Maybe longer though.
It's opening soon here.
I presume the DVD will be a 1 Disc affair? If so I'll pick up the HD-DVD Combo so I can get the HD and DVD with all extras.
p.s - FINALLY it's great to hear Robert Deniro is back on form. It only took him 9 years of crud (since Ronin).

I heard good things about it (and I sorta wanted to see it, but ended up seeing "Children of Men", which is a great film BTW), so I'll give it a rent.
I really dug The Good Shepherd. It had a very New Hollywood feel to it.
Great artwork, one of the best this year.
The film, however, was a let down. Although Matt Damon was great (he usually is when he's playing those types of characters...), but the rest of the cast was under-used, and it all fell apart for me in the last act.

Extremely disappointed with this one. The pacing was so slow and it was hard to follow. Children of Men and Blood Diamond were much better films.
I really wanted to see this. It looked fantastic. And for the record I dont mind slow pacing.
Great art, well-done film, great performance by Damon.
I would have figured that with all that space at the top, they'd manage to slide in: ACADEMY AWARD NOMINEE.

I wanted to see this but missed it.Great DVD art indeed.
haha larry king..."the best spy movie ever"
i believe he's quoted on the "bringing down the house" dvd as well: "one of the funniest movies ever."
larry king is one of the worst reviewers. ever.

This was a surprisingly good movie; even very good. Damon was excellent.
According to highdefdigest.com, this is slated for a March 2nd release. Since the HD DVD is supposed to be day & date with the standard DVD, it stands to reason this is the release date for both. Sorry Starman.... your wallet's just gonna have to keep screaming..
I really liked this movie, and I like the cover. I'll buy this.
I did not like this movie. It was about twice as long as it should have been, and not written well enough. The source material would obviously make for a good movie, but I thought it was handled poorly.
Good movie with some pacing issues, but I don't think it's worth owning.
Also, btw, Universal needs to stop being little b***hes and release on Blu-ray. Even though I don't care for HD-DVD, this goes to Disney too since I'm ranting now. Disney, stop being little bithes and release on HD-DVD! All studios should do duel format releases, it's criminal. I can't wait till Blu-ray wins and this is all over, and it will win. Pirates already cracked the HD-DVD encryption code, so it's dead.

I've seen both in action, and I have to say, HD-DVD is far better quality. HD-DVD is incredibly sharp and detailed, while blu-ray is incredibly soft.
Also, I was dying to see this, so I'll probably netflix it.

My goodness.... such hostility. "Pirates" is a great release for Blu-Ray (even though the franchise sucks) but we'll see HD DVD pull even further ahead than it has been when Universal announces release dates for "Jaws" , "Jurassic Park" , and "ET"
And BTW.... which next-gen format do you own?

When they first announced this, I was practically elated but once it came in theaters, I lost interest fast due to critical reception. How cool would it have been if it was Marty vs. DeNiro in the Director race? (With Marty winning, naturally). Oh well, I'll give it a rent just to see Pesci again, oh so briefly. Blu-Ray owners are very hostile towards HD-Dvd, only because they know their format is definitely going to be a bust, and they are fully aware of it (and ticked for buying their expensive player). Honestly, I could care less about both formats, I'm not rebuying my collection. I just find it pointless when people flip out over format wars, because I don't see either winning. It's not like the jump from VHS to dvd where the picture was THAT much better. Even on a super duper expensive HD tv with HDDVD, I don't see much reason to upgrade, other than little minute details added. You can beg to differ, but I'll never be convinced.
"The best spy movie ever!"? I definitely wouldn't go that far. But I liked this one alot and I'll pick it up for the deleted scenes.
Street date confirmed as the 3rd April...
No surprise of the date change the 27th of March is already loaded
It did look good, but this is rediculous. It hasn't even been two months since the theatrical release and the DVD is already announced. No wonder nobody is going to the movies anymore; it's cheaper to just wait and get the DVD in a couple months, though if you do that, you're going to be paying even more when the director's cut comes out a few months after that. I buy very few movies in their first release anymore. And forget about HD/Blu-ray, I can't even be bothered with that debate.
I don't own either a blu-ray or hd-dvd player but I gotta say from what I've seen blu-ray is disappointing and like another user said above is "soft". I saw King Kond on hd-dvd and it was stunning with how amazing the picture quality was.

I have a PS3, so Blu-ray. But I honestly I just want one format to win so I can buy the movies I want. I want so many Universal titles that I can't get, and I'm sure HD-DVD owners want titles they cant get from studios like Disney. While Blu-ray has 50GB versus HD-DVD 30GB I am in favor for Blu-ray more. Also, hackers already broke the encryption code to HD-DVD. So I wonder if studios will start siding with Sony.

The most stupid move by studios is this regioncode thing. Why the hell are they even doing it. Doesn't they want their movies to sell even more when they know they will if people from overseas will buy them also.
The DRM for both has been cracked.
Also, 3 layer HD-DVD will have more space and still cheaper to produce than Blu-ray.
