The 'R' rated DVD runs for 130 minutes with the following extra features: Cannes highlights, a making-of featurette and international trailer/spots/teaser. Is the BD called off for this one? I don't see one listed at MPI's page, but Amazon still has a listing.

It better not be. I've purposefully been holding off on importing a blu-ray so I could save a little cash. If it doesn't happen..I shoulda just bought it months ago.
It's been cheap as c**p over here for months (about £7). BTW, why can't American DVD distributors get their heads around the fact that the Korean surname should come first?

Ugh. And you guys have had that movie available on blu-ray/dvd forever. I only saw it in theaters here a couple months ago. I'm on the verge of investing in a region free blu-ray player. Especially with all those BFI Ozu releases showing up.
