Let's hope that it has more extras than the paltry stuff put on the R4 disc....

My "dream" edition would include DTS, a commentary by Darabont, and an hour long (at least) documentary on the making of the film... With the film spread to two disks DTS shouldn't be a problem!
And it would make for a much-needed break to attend the bathroom etc.
This is awesome. I do hope it is in R1 as well. Though, seeing as Shawshank was in both places at about the same time, I am sure this one will be as well. I really enjoyed this film. I am very keen to know what features and how many discs this will be. Excellent!!!
Awesome!
Lets hope its not an extended cut! I liked the film, but it was long enough to start with. Some insight from Darabont and Hanks would be a treat though as the previous release is a bit lacking.
I WANT NOW!!!! Any news on the R1 release?
Oh man, I hope region 1 is getting this.
It would make a change for us to get it before all of you for a change
GREAT !!!!!!! I Love this movie..one of my top favourite
i was waitting for some appropriate Edition for so long...i just cant wait for more details (how many Disks, what extras, what box)..god I cant wait any more longer

I just hope it would get something like Gladiatore SE.it would be cool

I never saw this movie, I desperately need to pick it up...
I was wondering why we had no new news about this.
Really did not like this film. Hated the way it changed genre half-way through, hated the way it never wanted to end.
Shawshank it aint.
Shawshank it aint.
I`ve been waiting for the R1 to get an SE for a long while, so I hope it`s finally going to arrive around the same time as the R2.
Thank God it is still on! I thought they had forgotten about this since I last heard a SE will be coming out.
I'm waiting for this to come more than for Blade Runer..i just love this movie....hope they can produce nice edition....and hope they wont posponed it more.
Didnt the Japanese get a special edition years ago? They had a limited edition boxed set with extras and stuff, someone's usually selling it on eBay.

Nice to see the old fashioned painted covers making a comeback.

Only thing is.......this is the R1 cover. (I don't see any BBFC rating labels). Hopefully the R2 will be the same then.
Decent movie but I hate the cover.

The R1 and R2 art for major titles is invariably the same, and early Warner artwork doesn't feature the ratings logos (cause it's 'early art'

I've seen his artwork for the comic books he does, he is a fabulous artist who really achieves a great mood.

NO DTS TRACK???????????????S**T!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is the only artwork for the UK region two now shown on Warner's site. I hope to God it's a mistake...
to be honest, I think it's allright artwork, not the original but not half bad
GOD DAMN IT...why have they changed the art work..the R1 is sooooooooo much bether....!!
Horrible artwork compared to Region 1's. Michael Clark's head just sort of pops up out of nowhere.
the only thing that R2 can do now to re-pay for the bad artwork..is the Edition in Digi-Pack.
