The other transfer was fine, I see no reason why they had to spread it over two discs. Its c**p, like going back to flippers all over again. If it had DTS, I would understand and wouldnt be complaining. But no DTS and still over two discs? *Sigh*
They could fit it on one disc, but the quality should be better spread across two.

Lord of the Rings Return of the King is 192 minutes (The Greenmile is 180 minutes) and have English DD 5.1 and DD 2.0. Admit no extra´s on disc 1,but it can´t be a problem to put those on disc 2 insteed of part 2 of the movie.
The Dutch release date is 15 November and it look like that we get this cover

Great movie, less than great artwork. For once, I like the Region 1 artwork better.
because it is over 3 hours long
I wont be getting this, thanks to those awful Irish ratings they plaster over everything now. What a disgrace...
And why is the film spread over two discs?!

Yeah, you guys got screwed. Our cover is much better, that green is ugly. I mean they put the mouse on Tom Hanks' shoulder, come on!
"Screw Drew Struzan, we've got Photoshop!" Unbelievable.

It was announced in August, we are getting one on the 14th of November.

the only thing that R2 can do now to re-pay for the bad artwork..is the Edition in Digi-Pack.
Horrible artwork compared to Region 1's. Michael Clark's head just sort of pops up out of nowhere.
GOD DAMN IT...why have they changed the art work..the R1 is sooooooooo much bether....!!
to be honest, I think it's allright artwork, not the original but not half bad
This is the only artwork for the UK region two now shown on Warner's site. I hope to God it's a mistake...
NO DTS TRACK???????????????S**T!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've seen his artwork for the comic books he does, he is a fabulous artist who really achieves a great mood.

The R1 and R2 art for major titles is invariably the same, and early Warner artwork doesn't feature the ratings logos (cause it's 'early art'

Decent movie but I hate the cover.

Yes you do!!!!!
Yes you do!!!!!
Didnt the Japanese get a special edition years ago? They had a limited edition boxed set with extras and stuff, someone's usually selling it on eBay.
I'm waiting for this to come more than for Blade Runer..i just love this movie....hope they can produce nice edition....and hope they wont posponed it more.
Thank God it is still on! I thought they had forgotten about this since I last heard a SE will be coming out.
I`ve been waiting for the R1 to get an SE for a long while, so I hope it`s finally going to arrive around the same time as the R2.
Really did not like this film. Hated the way it changed genre half-way through, hated the way it never wanted to end.
Shawshank it aint.
Shawshank it aint.
I was wondering why we had no new news about this.
I never saw this movie, I desperately need to pick it up...

It would make a change for us to get it before all of you for a change

Oh man, I hope region 1 is getting this.
I WANT NOW!!!! Any news on the R1 release?
Lets hope its not an extended cut! I liked the film, but it was long enough to start with. Some insight from Darabont and Hanks would be a treat though as the previous release is a bit lacking.
Awesome!
This is awesome. I do hope it is in R1 as well. Though, seeing as Shawshank was in both places at about the same time, I am sure this one will be as well. I really enjoyed this film. I am very keen to know what features and how many discs this will be. Excellent!!!
And it would make for a much-needed break to attend the bathroom etc.
My "dream" edition would include DTS, a commentary by Darabont, and an hour long (at least) documentary on the making of the film... With the film spread to two disks DTS shouldn't be a problem!
Let's hope that it has more extras than the paltry stuff put on the R4 disc....
