I'm guessing you haven't seen this movie.

every one has there own opinions but i thought it was mans will to survive at its finest and that was very touching for me cant wait to see it again!! Once More Into The Fray Into The Last Good Fight Ill Ever Know Live And Die On This Day Live And Die On This Day!!
I liked THE GREY quite a lot, but I am not sure I will be adding it to my collection. It was hard enough watching it the first time, so I am not sure it holds big replay value for me.
Yes, it is THAT bleak and downbeat (which is an essential part of its merits, of course).
As for the ending, I think it fits perfectly (I don't really need the after-credits coda either).

I was really blown away by this movie, surpassed all my expectations. And thought the ending was perfect (and I recommend stay for the credits)
thanks! im not a big fan either just havent seen the 2 big blockbusters MI4 or sherlock 2 yet glad these days they come out quicker on BD/DVD for the grey one of the deleted scenes i heard neeson fights the alpha so will see
yeah, i admit the abrupt ending actually infuriated me! i didn't need a "Hollywood" ending with Michael Bay explosions or a Rocky epic fight type deal but for crying out loud, the trailers and tv spots keep pumping that visual of Neeson, with the broken glass weapon gloves, about to get into SOMETHING!! SPOILER SPOILER (kind of not really).....the could have instead of showing anything (i'm trying to not overtly spoil anything here) just played audio flashes of the scene in question. hearing stuff go down would have been horrific and impactful but to just end it where they did isn't a good way to end what had been a very good movie. also (i may have missed it) but don't ALL planes have black boxes to track planes/info? they should have stayed by the plane. the after credits scene was decent and pretty haunting though.
ottway, i just the other day watched MISSION IMPOSSIBLE 4 and i admit i'm not really a fan of that franchise (i only saw part 1 in theaters) but i thought it was pretty good! the sand storm sequence that takes place in Dubai(?) was excellent. one of the more creative and interesting chase/fight sequences i've seen in a while.

Some people I know weren't fond of the ending. I actually really favored it. It didn't break out into this corny scene like I expected. It complimented the tone perfectly. Did you stay after the credits?

Every January, a badass Liam Neeson movie will be released, where he punches something.
this movie is by far the best film ive seen all year matter of fact in a long time its jaws 20 below with wolves neeson deserved an oscar nom cant wait first day buy i thought the ending was perfect should of stayed after the credits
I am on the fence about this. It almost tries too hard to be different. If it had been stipped down a bit it might have worked better. Its very downbeat and i think it works against it here. Also like mentioned i didnt like the ending either.
I read that there is suppose to be a different ending on the blu ray that the director shot it and will include it on the release .

I've been dying to check this out. Granted, Liam Neeson on the cover looking like that is kinda freaky. Nethertheless, I'll probably rent it from Redbox when it comes out.
