should I get this or wait for the double dip, you know they will do, just like the first one did
this was decent. but I would have enjoyed it more if I would have known the story was non-linear. does a good job of answering all the questions you had from part 1. rent it if your intrested, but its nothing special.
they won't double dip this, it's already coming unrated. I thought the film was good, not better than the first but it certainly sets up the third
I'll go for the unrated one. I liked the unrated of the first one better than the rated version.
I'm glad they're releasing this unrated right away instead of doing the double dip. I liked the unrated cut of the original much more....and hopefully I can say the same for the sequel. The movie was ok. Not half as good as the first...but compared to the remake of Pulse, The Grudge 2 was a masterpiece. Stop now though. The movies are already becoming painfully predictable.

I just don't get what is supposed to be scary about a Japanese boy painted black meowing like a cat . . .
I guess Amber Tamblyn just didn't cut it for bringing back people who saw the 1st movie. I wanted to see this, but before I could blink, it was already out of theaters. I'll definitely rent the unrated version.
Yes, there is definitely something very nonscary about a little Asian boy running around meowing at people. I hated the first one and want no part of this one either.
I'm not sure If I will buy this or not, if I do, it will be the unrated version. The movie was pretty good, didn't make much sense until the end, but the problem was most of the characters weren't very interesting, I didn't know or care about them.
Piece of s**t film that should've never been made. Something that's true about most recent "horror" movies and especially about remakes, and even MORE especially about sequels to the remakes. Then they try to add credibility by making the director of the original direct the remake, not realizing that the director has already reached his peak by making the same s**t in Japan too.
People really need to stop being retarded by paying money to see this c**p. Because of their stupidity and easily amused neanderthal ways, real films made by real filmmakers get c**p releases and the people involved in making them get s**tcanned for the more general audience.

Do people really expect a movie to be scary nowadays? Nothing is scary anymore. I watched Pulse the other night and was bored to tears that I had to turn it off.
However, out of all the so called scary movies that came out in the last few years, The Grudge was the only one that sorta creeped me out just a little.

The Grudge sucked. Grudge 2 is just as bad.

Yeah that annoys me too. I will probably pick up a $15 copy of the unrated version.

SASHIMI!!!!!!!!!!!
Artwork added for the unrated edition...
excellent artwork!
i like that they at least release these "unrated" editions at the same time....it seems the days of the original coming out and the unrated coming 6 months later are dying...i'm sure that will keep happening to special editions but least many of the horror movies are either coming out in both on the same day or even simply an unrated and nothing else....thats fun, especially for the average consumer who has no clue unrated editions come....least they have choice on the 1st day now
nice cover.
The artwork is a little too DTV for my liking... although I guess this is how this movie should have been released, DTV... why Sony felt it necessary to do a sequel on a film that not too many liked.
I actually really like this artwork. Much better than the theatrical poster of the #2 in the kid's eye.
Weirdest part of the movie? I'll say the girl with the jug of milk. Anyone who saw it definitely knows what I'm talking about.
when did this come out in theatres?
Yes, the artwork does look a little too much DTV looking. I agree.
If the house and tagline weren't on it, it would look less DTV.
Didn't see it, don't really care.
