I know it's R but it's Sony, they could suddenly pop up with an Unrated Cut like the previous Grudge movies down the road.
I'm personally waiting for a boxed set with all three films in their "uncut" forms. I only have the unrated version of the first flick, myself -- but I think it's a bigger improvement over the theatrical cut.

Don't think so. Not Interested

According to some horror movie sites, the third film is R-rated (compared to the two PG-13 rated predecessors) -- pretty surprising if you ask me.

I disagree about Return to House On Haunted Hill. That was pretty c**p, and I liked the first. I didn't find Wrong Turn 2 better, but about on-par with the first. Same with Joy Ride 2.
But you can now add to the list Boogeyman 3 (even better than the second) and Vacancy 2.
Some DTV sequels can be pretty d*mn good. They certainly have been recently.

Wonder why there's no cardboard cover included with the case. The previous two Grudge movies had cardboard covers with the case. Not counting The Grudge: Director's Cut DVD which I don't own.

im just so sick of those movies... i had to say it

well as much as i love the genre, horror has always been 90% c**p and 10% good/decent so i'm used to it. lol
ok, but there's gotta be a huge difference between good horror movies, and bad horror movies...
i can see the difference... can u?
can u tell which one is bad, and which one is good?
well, i know... we all have different tastes, but come on!!

Counselor Troi, how could you?
I wish they put this one to sleep since the seond one was one of the worst films I have ever seen. I might watch it to see if it is better than the second one.
The Grudge 1 = A few paper thin characters, barely any screenplay, but disturbing imagery and a great mood
The Grudge 2 = A buckload of paper thin characters, an overwritten screenplay, but disturbing imagery and great laughs
The Grudge 3 = Inevitably c**p.

I love me some Shawnee Smith, and am actually one of the few who liked "The Grudge 2"(probably mainly because SMG died in it, lol), so this will be a definite buy for me. Here's hoping for a BD, and hoping the visual effects don't look too DTV-c**ppy.
FINALLY!!!! I can't wait to pick this up only cause im such a huge fan of the beautiful and sexy Shawnee Smith!!!! March can't get here soon enough.
The cover reminds me of a direct to DVD release of F.E.A.R. the movie of the PS3/360's video game. It's been rated R by the way but that doesn't mean anything. More blood, gore, language, violance, you get what I mean. Man, I hope its good.
Actually I love horror and watch the torture movies....
I was referring to what movies the actress is mainly doing at the moment...

Mind you, she is pretty
Even if "torture porn" wasn't a stupid term used mainly by people who don't even watch the movies in question, you can't just lump torture porn and horror movies together in the same category. That defeats the whole point of singling out a certain type of horror movie to begin with.

Like the cover art but not quite sure if The Grudge 3 is worth the watch but I will pick it up.
The first one was ok the first time i watched it, the second time was just plain retarded. The second film can't even be categorized as horror. I'd say the second one is the greatest spoof i've ever seen, regardless of it being unintentional. I was laughing ALL throughout, not because of pity, but because it was genuinely hilarious.
See the original films instead! The american remakes sucked!
Thought this was Takashi Shimizu's Ju-On: The Grudge 3 at first, nearly had a a heart attack as i thought he'd finally made it. Damn! Guess not...

What is the point of this? Definite pass.
Im so happy DVDActive isn't dead. But this movie looks HORRIBLE. The cover art, is atrocious... while the trailer, is absolutely terrible.
I'm only gonna watch this one for Shawnee Smith. Loved the first one, slightly liked the second one...but this one just looks terrible. If only the second one had been a bigger success, we might be getting an actual theatrical release that could have the potential to be good but now we're stuck with more DTV c**p.
I like the first one...thought the second was terrible....I am glad this movie is where it belongs, STD hell.
I'm slightly interested since this is actually rated R, but I won't be buying it.
I liked both Grudge movies. Surprised to see they made a DTV sequel. I'll definitely rent it. At least it has a couple of decent B-list actors like Shawnee Smith & Marina Sirtis.
Finally! Oh my god, I thought DVD Active was dead! But anyways, i'll give this a chance because even i'm shocked that I liked part 2.
...there was a Grudge 2?
well the movie is a direct continuation of part 2. its about that apt. building and last i heard they even got the same actor to play the lil kid from the end. so if you liked part 2, like i did, hopefully this isnt too bad.
DTV movies dont have a good track record but i have to admit, the times i do find good DTV movies, they're usually horror so yeah...i'll cross my fingers. lol
and hey, Troi from Star Trek is in it...thats fun. lol

The cover is kinda hot, the actual movie, however, will be a POS.
I think Shawnee Smith is hot as hell!!
One word: PASS.
The title looks like it was fan made. But I actually like how the grudge's hair is part of the ghost boy in jail. I will also check this out because I liked the first two Grudges and plus it's the same director of the indie flick Splinter.
