What no unrated version being released?! At least the first one had an unrated version released alongside the rated version on it's dvd release date.

Yeh and no deleted scenes? Warner has been skimping a lot lately but at least give us cut footage. I don't know about this movie though, it was lazy and nothing more than a copycat of the original. I didnt even love the overrated original but at least it was fresh. I wasn't bored during this but its funny how lazy it was. I hear they're making a third one now too. It's amazing that Philips can so easily do more of these but is still not bringing a sequel to old school.
Also for coming out in May this one is taking a long time to hit dvd and bluray. 7 months to be exact

Not worth a buy, just rent and feel disappointed and save 20-35 bucks
The first one was meh and I hear this one was awful, but I'll still watch it on account o' Galifianakis looks pretty good bald. If I sat throught Clash of the Titans (2010) and f**king The Grudge 3 for the sake of taking in the "scenery," I can certainly stand to see this when it hits HBO or something.
"Bangkok has them now."
Without the alternate tattoo artist scene that was originally shot with Liam Neeson, my interest fizzles a little more. A gag reel alone on DVD is pitiful. I actually didn't care for the unrated version of the first film. I found the theatrical edition to be better paced. So, an unrated version here isn't a make or break for me. Still, I'd like to see the deleted scenes separately for that aforementioned scene. I didn't find Nick Cassavettes' take on the scene or the character to be entertaining at all.

OHHH yeh I forgot all about that scene. I don't k ow why Warner is doing this, I'm sure a second edition is coming. Even the first film had a second one that still didn't include all the deleted scenes.

The film is non-stop raunch even with no unrated edition, but I'm still surprised Warner didn't spring for that or even some more features for such a blockbuster film. I'm thinking maybe they'll release an "Extended Edition" or something like they did for the first film later on in the year 2012.
I didn't find too much noteworthy about this one. It's funny in places, but it all feels too familar. I really liked the first film (I saw it before it was "the trend" film), but now it's over-quoted beyond belief and has run its course.

This movie was, in my opinion, so stupid. If it didn't feel like they wanted to milk the cash cow with this one and barely even try with a sequel, I wouldn't be so hard on it. And I loved the first film (and I'll admit it's extremely overrated.
I'm shocked how long it took for this to even be announced! Heck, Bridesmaids and Transformers 3 are already out (or almost out)!
I'm guessing the delay was due to the legal issues with the tattoo, the guy who did Tyson's wanted it removed off the home video release...
I liked this, not as good as the first one, but still funny, and still looking forward to a 3rd one.

Wow, nearly 5 months from it's release until they announced the packaging? Anyways, I thought the movie was enjoyable! Nowhere as good or should I saw 'original' as the first one, because basically this one was EXACTLY like the first one. It was lacking originality. So if you haven't seen the first Hangover, but you saw this one, then you saw the first Hangover. Nonetheless, it was enjoyable, better than most of the c**p released this summer (Transformers, Smurfs, Green Lantern, etc). The jokes weren't as funny, but I still had some good laughs. Will be getting the blu-ray.
there is also a movie only edition... ill be getting that blu-ray. its not worth it to me to pay for the combo pack when there are barely any features
Its just warners trend now. Look at the features(or lack thereof) for hall pass, due date, unknown, and arthur just to name a few. They are just getting lazy even with their bluray titles.
Unrated version
It's hardly surprising that there's no Unrated Version of this film. Here's what director Todd Phillips told one interviewer about the unrated version of The Hangover earlier this year...
'That’s something I have to take up with the Director's Guild of America. Warner Bros., they’ll make your movie; your movie does well, and they want to create an unrated version, which is entirely against DGA rules because it’s not your cut. And they can’t call it the ‘Director’s Cut’ — they’ll call it ‘Unrated’ or some ridiculous term. Really all it is, is about seven minutes of footage that you cut out of the movie for a reason. That won’t happen on Hangover 2'.

Saw the first 20 minutes and walked out. One of the most boring, stupid, and cliche films I've seen in awhile. It takes what made "The Hangover" so great, and takes a big dump on it. One of the worst movies of '11. I will rent it just to see if the film gets better but my god were those minutes I saw just excruciating to watch.
This was the exact same movie as the original. Should have just called it "Hangover, the remix." It wouldn't surprise me if they didn't have any deleted scenes because they probably used every single inch of film they had.
