The Hangover (US - DVD R1 | BD RA)
Warner Home Video reveals highres art for the unrated DVD release of the film
Title: The Hangover (IMDb)
Starring: Bradley Cooper
Released: 15th December 2009
SRP: $34.99 (2-Disc DVD)
Further Details:
Warner Home Video has announced 1-disc DVD ($28.98), 2-disc DVD ($34.99), and Blu-ray ($34.87) releases of The Hangover for the 15th December. The 2-disc DVD and Blu-ray releases will include unrated and theatrical editions of the film, a gag reel, more pictures from the missing camera, a host of other features ("Map of Destruction", "The Madness of Ken Jeong", "Action Mash-Up", "Three Best Friends Song", "The Dan Band!"), and a digital copy of the film. We've attached art for the 1-disc below.

Quote: They planned a Vegas bachelor party that they would never forget. Now they really need to remember what exactly went down! Whose baby is in the closet of their Caesars Palace suite? How did a tiger get in the bathroom? Why is one of them missing a tooth? And most of all, where is the groom?! What the guys did while partying can’t compare to what they must do sober in an outrageous caper that has them piecing together all their bad decisions from the night before – one hazy clue at a time. Director Todd Phillips (Old School) and an all-aces comedy cast bring it big time with unpredictable situations that somehow all fit together. Tie one on with The Hangover.

Well you may never know. Though to me, artwork looks so-so.
So-so? Wouldn't you rather have the Single Disc DVD cover over the Blu-ray which looks like a Roadtrip/Eurotrip cover rip off? S h i t......I would!
Actually, I'll take that back because I didn't see the movie. Even though it's almost the end of the wait - still waiting for that one from Netflix. Everyone says its funny, but I'll have to see myself.

Hopefully the 2-disk artwork is a slip cover (like WB tends to do) with some better cover behind it.

It's fine if you didn't like it. But don't pull that pretentious, stuck up, "I'm better than you" attitude because people found crude humor funny. Lighten the hell up.

I'm not going to get into a pissing contest with the rest of you, but I just want to point out that this movie is STILL playing at one of my two local multiplexes. If that is not some kind of testament to its popularity and mass appeal, then I don't know what is. Good or bad, like or dislike, it wasn't meant to be a smart, thought-provoking comedy. But it is popular, and I for one will be adding it to my collection right alongside Dumb & Dumber, The 40 Year Old Virgin, The 400 Blows, The Godfather trilogy, and Iron Man.

Am I the only person who actually didn't like this movie? Everyone else I work with and their families loved this, but I didn't thing it was special.

Still, I can't believe that THIS came out to be one of the
biggest movies of the year. Goes to show the level of immaturity of
movie-goers who pay $10+ to watch 40-something actors act and do things horny virgin college kids would do. Actually, they spend most of the movie getting hurt, not doing crazy drunk things. Only at the very end do you get a glimpse of their antics. Da B-Meister wrote: roadogg31 wrote: Who cares what the cover art looks like? This movie was f***ing hilarious!!
No it wasn't. Not by a LONG shot. Even if you think it's reductive or immature, most people went to the theater, laughed, and had a good time. The internet has unearthed an entire swath of people out there who apparently get more enjoyment out of being disappointed and hating everything than they do enjoying themselves, and it's kind of depressing. The Hangover isn't some sort of sophisticated masterpiece, but they can't all be like that. It certainly didn't promise to be any more or less high-brow than it is, and hating it also definitely doesn't illustrate that you are wiser than all those who saw it and liked it, just that you have a narrow set of standards for a mainstream R-rated comedy that the rest of the world doesn't. If you want to wear your hatred for the film as some sort of elitist badge of honor, so be it, but that seems like a really hollow "victory" to me.

Put a sock in it, Da B-Meister. We get it - You hated the film. "It's the biggest cinematic travesty since Barbella." Blah, blah, blah, et cetera and so forth.... Stop trolling.
As for me, I'm definitely in the league of people who really enjoyed this flick, although I don't think it was the funniest of the year (I Love You Man was tops for me). Definite Blu-ray pickup for me. I'm also underwhelmed by the 2-Disc/Blu-ray artwork. Too cluttered in too small a setting. Drop the bigass Unrated banner and the neon woman in the car and it might be better. I think this would've made for great 2-Disc artwork: http://www.impawards.com/2009/hangover_ver5.html

And that's what I'm afraid of...comedies don't have a very long shelf-life with me. I'm still asking for this for Christmas, though.
And yes, Wedding Crashers was VERY over-rated. Hated that flick...

God, what a terrible film, I tolerated School For Scoundrels, but this really is the last time I'll sit through a Todd Phillips film, not funny for any part of it's overlong, cliche ridden runtime.
I almost missed out on this movie at the cinema. Thank God I didn't. I know what I'm gonna be asking for for Christmas. That 2-Disc/Blu-ray art is horrible, though.

One of the funniest movies - EVER.
That two disc/Blu artwork is pretty lame. I'd love to see the poster where they're all in the hotel room with the tiger in the background as a substitution. It gives more of a feel for the movie.

It's been said many times, but...FINALLY!
This movie was utterly and totally hilarious, and I can't believe I went to the theater with my parents and newly-graduated sister! It was a total blast!
But that Blu art better get a makeover. I wouldn't mind if they just slapped 'Unrated' across the bottom of the 1-disc artwork and made it the Blu cover. That art is far better than the current Blu one...

Only bad thing: the 2-disc artwork SUCKS. God, I hope Warner changes that. They're normally so good at doing artwork for DVDs.

Great comedy. I would have love it if the film ends like 15 minutes earlier, it would have been much more classy. But overall, thoroughly enjoyed it and will hit the Blu.

2-Disc art is hideous. As for the movie, I'll rent it, but it seems very overrated. Didn't look very funny from the ads at all.
What the studios should have done is used the 1-disc DVD artwork for the 2-disc and Blu-ray covers, than vise-versa. Still, the artwork doesn't looks atrocious. I've seen worse. Although the extras look pretty standard, if you ask me. Sorry, for my rambling.
