C'mon Fox, the movie sucked, at least give us good artwork.
one of the worst movies I have ever seen
Well at least they kept the movie poster as the artwork. Nice choice but bad movie overall. I was really hoping this would make up for the previous movie, Lady in the Water. Sadly, I was wrong.
I will only puke on this movie. Not see it.
I'll rent this, but after all the bad reviews, I don't have very high expectations.
A gag reel? Isn't that the movie itself?
Call me crazy but... I loved it! It was so stupid, so over the top that it actually worked out. Definite buy... for me at least.
Haven't seen it.
But I had lost faith in M. Night Shamalamadingdong long ago.
So I am not surprised at all about the negativity surrounding this film.

I'll blind buy. I've enjoyed all hsi movies from The Sixth Sense to Lady in the Water.
I enjoyed this film. I HATED Lady in the Water, but loved Sixth Sense, Signs and The Village. This movie did have some terrible writing, but it was not as terrible as some made it out to be. Blu-ray buy for me!
I see a Sixth Sense sequel...
i dont know about this, but i'll check it out... 4 sure
was i the only one that actually enjoyed it? the story behind its interesting, and in the world we live in today anything could happen.
love the artwork!
love the artwork!
I've never seen such a promising talent slide so quickly down the slopes of mediocrity...And to think after The Sixth Sense and Unbreakable we were ready to crown him this generation's Hitchcock...Sadly, every movie he's made has gotten consistently and considerably worse...
I was rooting for this, I wanted it to be good, but aside from the opening with everyone offing themselves (which is the only thing that fox sold in the ads) it just got SO STUPID. No matter how you shoot it, WIND IS NOT SCARY. Ugh! Shyamalan wasted so much of his talent with this. Return to form please!
Can't wait. I love the premise of an unseen evil. I'll check it out as part of my Halloween marathon.
What happened?
I missed this at the theatres, but heard bad things. I'll rent it.
THE HAPPENING is Shyamalamadingdong's B-movie, and I thought it worked. His ego got the best of him with THE VILLAGE and LADY IN THE WATER, and THE HAPPENING was a way of saying "look, I'm not pretentious anymore." It contained no jump-scares, no twist, and was constructed like an episode of the "twilight Zone." But critics bash him again, this time I suspect just because they had already decided too before the film even came out. Oh well.
I'm not saying it's a good movie... I'm just saying it wasn't necessarily bad either. People calling it terrible, a waste of celluloid, and one of the worst films ever obviously haven't seen many bad films.

Great Cover, I didn't think the film was totally bad though - the first 20-25 mins definitely shown promising potentials, but the rest of the film failed miserably to materialize upon those potential.
Worst movie of the year. I would even go as far to say that this was worse than "One Missed Call". I can't even believe this movie was made, let alone made over $60 million in theaters. Just when you think this world was bad enough...
Oh, there are a MULTITUDE of films far worse than this...but comparing strictly against the other films on his resume, it certainly didn't buck the downward trend of his last few films...
I liked this movie. I'm just....well, angry that a lot of people hated it because of the hate around M. Night and that it's the "cool" thing to do right now. Just so stupid of people. This was actually a good film and people like The Incredible Hulk? Pulease...
this is a very odd little movie. i enjoyed it because it was a throw back to paranoid sci-fi mysteries of the 70s, and it was also something original and not just another remake or sequel. but this is a very difficult film for the average filmgoer. it takes patience and an open mind to embrace it.
there are worse films out there, trust me.

The cover is AWESOME but the movie was HORRIBLE. Should I buy this movie just for the case, lol? I don't like M. Night Shamaylafjksdfjlsjfljlsdjklsdf movies but I did like his Lady In The Water for some reason.....

Seriously? They were okay films at best. I can't be the only person in the world to spot the twist in the Sixth Sense almost immediately?
As for The Happening, it's truly dire. Mark Wahlberg was so wooden I though he was one of the trees.

I never noticed the twist at all, it came as a shock to me. I just did not pick up on the reaccuring themes on the first viewing.

love the artwork!
Yeah, the story BEHIND it is interesting, but the stuff we're shown is pure garbage. But I do agree, the story is very intriguing, and that's the only reason I didn't leave the theater. But then when I found out why the things were 'happening,' I almost left again, terrible resolution, because there was none.

This movie was a laugh riot! I hope the M. Night's intro is anapology.

There should be a feature on here where M. Night apologizes for letting his ego run rampant making this c**p.
