I think the actors names in CAPITAL LETTERS might be another givaway, but hey...
Well, Chris,
I am sure in the UK, just like the US, there are a lot of DUMB WHITE TRASH, the same people who b***h about widescreen only movies & buy bluray movies thinking there are DVD's, b***h about Pan's Labrynth being in mexican, yes, someone b***hed to me about this at work, not knowing the difference between the 2 different versions.

not sure if that would be the case. cant speak for anywhere else but over here the steelbook editions are always the same price as the regular jewel case version of a movie. i'm in canada so they're always limited to Futureshop and Best Buy but price is the same.

play.com have changed the artwork for the £9.98 version to the single disk cover. Looks its not the 2 disk version as 1st thought

Times like this I wish I lived in the UK, that Blu-Ray art is great (the second one)

It's becoming the rule in France: most of the BR editions have more bonus than the DVD ones.
It's outrageous !
But they know it's a smart move to make fans of movies to go to HD.

I could not care less what the cover is, but its plain stupid what they are doing with deleted scenes, makes me mad ! think I pass the whole release ...

The movie poster may have been good, but by the time they've finished plastering the cover with all that text and ratings logos, I'd rather have the cleaner US artwork.

theres been a rumour at darkhorizons.com that the Blu Ray will have 44mins of deleted footage. the 3disc will have 28mins of deleted footage and the 1 disc will have 12mins of deleted footage. this is supossed to convince more buyers to move to the new format as they predict this mite be the start of a new trend. But like i said its rumour at the moment.

If I imported an R2 DVD, would it still work on my DVD player? Or is it region locked?

Lucky! UK got the good artwork for the normal 2 disc.

2-Disc artwork RULES!!!
Wow. Nice Blu-Ray artwork!
*cough*

The regular 2-disc here is awesome, I love that poster. The other artwork isn't too bad, but the poster is still much better. Too bad I'm American and get that more cheesy 3-disc thing.
No mention of the alternate opening (The "captain america opening"
wich will be included in the US DVD ?

Just think after 3 months it will be half that again in price...

The 2 disk artwork cover is being listed on several UK sites as 1 disk? Play.com have the 2 disk cover at £9.99, although there is no mention that it is actually 2 disks.
If it is the 2 disk version then I think £9.99 is an excellent price.

on amazon.de the blu-ray cover is the movie poster also. i would order it from there if the title were not german. it's not fair that the us release cover's are this bad. can't we object to it and make them change it lik the fans did with the final season of the oc
O_O why cant we get the cover art with the movie poster why?!
maybe they are saving it for the souped up uber special edition coming in a year in the US or something
GRRRRRR.......

Thanks Chris,
Just checked AmazonDE and they have a steelbook with that movie poster on it, one drawback. Its called Der unglaubliche Hulk, and its not released until 26 Nov. I've ordered german dvds before to get steelbooks and I might again, not sure yet.

Don't be too sure. Your single disc is the same as the single disc of the R1. But I would agree with your multi-disc. That is nice.
Thank Christ the artwork is better than the US version.
I'm guess the two disc release lacks the additional 70 minute cut, then?

"A monster of a movie?"
What the hell???
What the hell???
No 3-disc for the UK? Is this a bad thing, or is the US version's third disc just a digital copy?
Added art for all the DVD releases. Still waiting on BD art.
hell better than R1
besides, if this is the same release as R1 without the the digital copy O_O
