I heard many bad things about this... they maintained the original theatrical poster for the dvd cover though, so thats good.

This was not half bad. I am a huge fan of the 70s version and I didn't expect much from this new remake, but it succeeded in the end. Check it out if your interested and it should look really good on Blu-Ray disc.
Definitely picking this up on Blu-ray! Loved it in the theaters
yeah, good for them for using a poster, but that one? There were better posters and that makes a very unattractive DVD. Just my taste I guess but yuck.
The film wasn't that bad. It entertained me for 90 minutes. Too bad they don't have any deleted scenes.

But it will be noticed on the wall at a Blockbuster though! I'm guessing the studio really wants this to stand out among the other DVD covers..

great movie!
really suprised by this one. I havent felt so drawn into a movie since THE RING. A must buy for me!

It went through production hell. Being reshot, re-written, and tested poorly... The end product is the most commercial version they could do... so I was iffy about seeing it.
But perhaps a film comes out of development hell, for the better? It did terrible at the box office. A huge financial loss for WB... But I may rent anyway

Heard bad things about it, but it did look promising when I saw the trailers. May rent it just for Kidman and Craig being in it.
BTW, when the movie entered reshoots, the original director wasn't on hand to helm the reshoots, so Silver hired the Wachowskis to rewrite the script and James McTeigue to direct. Both of them are uncredited, to my knowledge.

This did horribly at the box office, but I really want to see it. Love the story, and it's from the guy who did Downfall, come on!
The art is...red.
Something tells me we won't be seeing Oliver Hirschbiegel's original director's cut any time soon...
Yep... no deleted scenes anywhere in sight. There might still be a possibility that it will surface eventually.
But I think the reason because it bombed and tested poorly is because of the reshoots to make it more mainstream (such as the action scenes near the end of the film). I think people might have welcomed Hirschbeigel's original cut better, though.

I think there should be a limit on the number of times a movie can be remade. And that limit should be 1.
I was a huge fan of all of the older versions, I even turned by sons into fans when the originals were relased on DVD. This is at a minimum a rent for me, if I like it I will add this one to my ever growing collection for certain.
At first it looked good. Then I saw a PG13 rating so I was scared away plus all the negative reviews Ive read. I will rent it only.
Disgusting artwork, reminds me of The Real McCoy or one of these poundshop DVDs from Prism Leisure, with titles like Blood Goblin or Monkey Ninja Assassin. Is Craig's face meant to be blurry like that?
Did we really need a THIRD remake of Invasion of the body Snatchers?
Gonna give this a rent...looks intresting.
Not a big fan of the cover though...there's another poster who looks the same but with a diffrent color...should have use it.

I vote for 0.

I have to sy I never liked that red poster. The Invasion is a 'blue' movie. It had nothing to with red. And besides, it looks like it's straight from 1998.
It was actually very good IMO. '78 was better though.
Can we all agree that this horse has been flogged to death?
I think I like this remake over the 1978(?) version. I seem to be the ony person who loves a plot where a group of humans battle millions of others that's why I love these kinds of movies. The remake is like a blockbuster movie while the 1978 version is a slow moving, explain this and that scenorio. The remake knows you've seen at least one version of the film and skips all of the explaining parts and go right into the action, which why I liked it. It's not slow, dull, or boring. I'm glad WB put the effort to have a lot of special features. I'm definately going to by this! A very entertaining movie!
no deleted footage

really ?
really ?
this is the 3rd remake or the 4th Body Snatchers movie...theyre making these as often as Anchor Bay releases Evil Dead..
Why cant they just make a a sequel to it as opposed to a remake thats been remade before..
Maybe the pods got the writers

I actually liked it and love all the body snatchers movies the best is from 78, second is the original, and a tie for this & the 93 version. I would have loved to see the studio hated "original" version. I heard the director was actually fired due to warner bros. not being happy with the cut he turned in. As it stands it could have been better if some plot lines were carried out instead of forgetting them and throwing action in, I think that was more of a fault of the dual directors and combining all the re-shoots with original material.
I hope someday WB puts this in a double-feature with Body Snatchers. I'll wait for that to happen.
Oh poor Daniel Craig. I'm so sorry they had to put you in this.
