Damn good remake. Blu buy, day one.
Pretty damn good remake. Very brutal and disturbing to watch though.
I really liked it, very good remake. The cover art is available on 'Shock till you drop' though
FINALLY!!! I really loved this movie. It surprised me.
Absolutely great remake. Something about Wes Craven's material resonates even harder in remakes, first The Hills Have Eyes, now this. I just hope that'll be true with A Nightmare On Elm Street too..

well he was involved with both Hills and this one too, that might be why they turned out well. sadly he has no involvement with Elm Street, i even read he's a little pissed that they never even bothered to contact him about it. i'm a huge Freddy fan so i'll see the remake regardless but yeah.

Decent remake. Will have to watch the unrated cut on blu though.
DVD menus added...
The poster for this film was awful, hopefully the artwork will be better... and not reminiscent of the monstrosity that was the artwork for 'The Strangers.'

Yeah, I hear he was involved on some level on both, and I guess I'll check out Elm Street too, just not sure what to expect just yet..

It's great!
This movie was AMAZING!

This movie was AMAZING!
Is there going to be an alternate ending? Hated the ending but loved the movie.
It was a surprisingly great movie. I really want to see the original.
I know. We run. Which means we gotta be ready for anything. We have to be ready to do anything. Do you hear me?
LOVED this movie. However, it was very disturbing and brutal to watch. But the last 40-50 minutes of the film makes the intense hell ride of the first hour or so totally worth it. Can't wait to see the unrated version!
Highres artwork now added. Sorry for the delay! Turns out Malcolm had it sitting in his inbox the last 24 hours and didn't ruddy tell me!!
24 hours is far better than the T2 announcement, so in a way, I was more efficient this time.
this is EASILY one of the BEST remakes (and simply a REALLY good and well done movie in every respect!) ever. every actor in this is AMAZING. SPOT ON! especially Monica Potter! she was phenomenal!! it was hard to sit through the rape scene (of course RAPE is never a "fun" issue/topic) but the film is handled in such a deft hand with this director that it was tolerable (the rape scene).
EDIT:
oh, i forgot!!!!!! JOHN MURPHY'S score is an actual character in this movie (if that makes ANY sense! LOL). John's score is a big part of why i loved this movie so much. but then again, John is ALWAYS awesome (28 DAYS/WEEKS LATER, SUNSHINE, TRAINSPOTTING, etc).

Why is there 2 versions of artwork? One has "From the people who brought you..." and the other doesn't.... what's the difference?
FINALLY! This was great. DRAG ME TO HELL is my favorite horror movie of the year (actually my favorite movie of the year period at this point), but this would be second. It's still one of the year's best. Definitely buying. Probably the best horror remake since TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE (2003). They did a great job with this one.
Good artwork, but I much prefer the original tagline -- "how far would you go to hurt them back?" as opposed to "how far would you go to get revenge?"
That artwork is badass and creepy.
Very good movie and EXTREMELY disturbing to watch. The family, Monica Potter, Tony Goldwyn and Sara Paxton were Phenomenal!!!!!!
The first hour or so were the tough parts to sit through. I saw this in the theater and when "the scene" happened you're there sitting in your seat with nothing to do but watch a disturbing event happen in front of you. Yes, it's a movie, but I got attached to the characters and when the revenge happened EVERYONE in the theater CHEERED when the villains got what they deserved and they got A LOT!!!
THUMBS UP!!!!

Damned good movie! WOndering what the unrated stuff will be, I doubt it's anything worse than what actually made the theatrical cut!
I'm digging the cover artwork. Reminiscent of the lucky UK crowd's cover for THE UNBORN with Odette's yummy derriere glorifying the eyes.
One of the few remakes I like more than the original. Definete buy.
A lot better than the original at least the two versions are included.

I usually dread remakes but this one was actually very well done and the original had the potential but was flawed. A good case for a remake, unlike NOES/ Halloween/ Ft13th which were all done well the first time already and a remake to me seems/seemed completely pointless. Ft13th especially, I hated the remake it was 100% not needed and the original first 3 were far better in every aspect to me.

The cover art actually does make perfect sense to the whole premise of the film, at last Universal picked a proper cover setting, but this film was never promoted using "From the people who brought you NIGHT ON ELM STREET and THE HILLS HAVE EYES" That needs to GOOOOOOOOO!
Universal drop it! Looks horrendous and misplaced. And as well as the blood splat mentioning the word "Unrated" again!

Plus, Sara Paxton in her first serious role and Monica Potter's come back. Those reasons alone are enough for me to see this film.
