Paramount Home Entertainment has announced 1-disc, 2-disc and Blu-ray editions of The Love Guru which stars Mike Myers, Justin Timberlake, and Jessica Alba. Each will be available to own from the 16th September. Extras on the 1-disc will include featurettes (One Hellava Elephant, Hockey Training for Actors, Back In The Booth With Trent and Jay), 11 deleted and extended scenes, bloopers, and the films theatrical trailer. The 2-disc and Blu-ray discs will include all of the above, plus a digital copy of the film.

Heard this was terrible. But I'll end up checking it out like I did with Meet the Spartans JUST to see if it's as bad as my imagination depicts.

PS - Interestingly enough, I just came back from Russia, where the film was released straight-to-video under the tiled "Sex Guru."

I dunno. I saw a preview screening around February-March and it wasn't that bad. I laughed a decent amount. But whatev-I read that Myers is an arrogant, controlling dick, so I don't mind that this bombed. Plus, the previews were really god awful.

Who else agrees this is the worst of the 2008 summer movies? This and for me speed racer. I have seen some bads ones but this was trully awful. Even worse than meet dave with eddie murphy

Does 'The love guru' really need a 2-disc? I know it's just the digital copy but is that necessary. Well if I like the film I'll pick up the 2-disc.
I'm not that desperate in seeing this movie. This one would look like a DVD rental to me. But after that, I would just forget about it. Why are they releasing Digital Copies for this film? The studio should know we're not going to make a digital copy for this film, because critics said this one was bad?
I've always been a Mike Meyers fan with SNL, Wayne's World and Austin Powers...I don't care if he's arrogant on set. I was looking forward to this and Get Smart but then heard terrible things about both. I'll wait til I can rent it...but I still have hope.
i know everyone has extremely disliked this movie and i'm not one of those people... i thought it was a decent movie. there have been worse movies like meet the spartans and star wars the clone wars. so im buying the 2-disc so i can get the digital copy
wow, so literally..the ONLY difference between the 1 and 2 disc is the digital copy? wow, i never thought it would get that bad. the digital copy movies i have all contain extras as well as the digital copy on the disc so i hope they at least dont charge extra for it.

Man, I never saw this but this movie is like a torturous hell for me. It has Jessica Alba and The Toronto Maple Leafs actually winning something. But, at the same time it has Justin Timberlake and Mike Myers, who hasn't been remotely funny since coming out as gay a while back. I don't care what he does, I just want the funny back.
They need to start publishing the entire quote when praising movies. What Jim Ferguson of KGUN 9 ABC really said was, "Hilarious...compared to testicular cancer." Seriously, it sucked.
I'll buy it just for Justin's abs on the cover.
Actually, it wasn't really that bad. True, it's not the best thing in the world, but for a 90-minute diversion, there are worse ways to spend your time. Truth be told, Justin Timberlake is the only reason to see this movie - he outshines Mike Myers in every scene.
consensus: mike myers should stop acting unless he's on snl, jessica alba is a useless and boring celebrity, justin timberlake should stop acting (including hosting) and just stand there shirtless... without a mustache and verne troyer should get naked and drunk piss from his motorized chair... oh, wait.

As much as i love Jessica Alba, i didn't see this film. I hear it was terrible, i'll rent it then buy it when it is $4.99 at BB

I loved the Austin Powers flicks, and am excited that they are in the works for a fourth. The Shrek films are great, and I really enjoyed the first Wayne's World. This, on the other hand, looked horrid from the trailers, and I have no desire to see it at all.

This really looked like the biggest piece of c**p. I guess the box office numbers show that people avoided this one like it was a plague.
Why si Jessica Alba a star? She's a beautiful woman, I know, but her movies are awful. The only movies of hers I've enjoyed did not rest on her shoulders, and quite frankly, she is not what I remember most from those movies. (I'm thinking of Sin City and Fantastic Four 1&2)

I thought this movie looked awful and I would never waste my money on it 
This just ended up being a vehicle to rehash tired old Austin Powers jokes...I so wanted to like this when I initially heard about it but utimately, upon finally seeing it, I had to face the harsh reality that it sucked more than a leech-infested vampire with his member stuck in a jacuzzi jet pump...
Myers' reputation is slowing imploding due to poor career choices...and I take no pleasure in watching it happen before our very eyes...

Myers is not gay. He was married and officially divorced last year from his wife... who also realized that he wasn't funny.
