Warner Home Video has announced DVD ($28.98) and Blu-ray/DVD Combo ($35.99) releases of The Lucky One for August 28th. The only extra material on the DVD release will be a Zac and Taylor's Amazing Chemistry featurette. The Blu-ray/DVD Combo release will also include 2 additional featurettes ("Zac Efron Becomes a Marine", "Watch The Sparks Fly - The Romantic World Of The Lucky One"), and an UltraViolet digital copy of the film. Nic Sparks movies are a guilty pleasure. I really wanted to see this in theatres, but missed it. I will probably pick it up. Taylor Schilling is gorgeous.
The blu-ray art just doesn't look right. "The Lucky One" meaning the guy is triumphant in coercing the chick into butt sex. LOL.
The DVD & BD cover arts scream two different things: one scream schmaltzy romance, the other screams sex, for some reason.
One of the worst movies of the year, so far.
