But when an unexpected blackout cancels all flights out of New York, TK agrees to share a ride to Pittsburgh with two similarly stranded servicemen: Cheever (Tim Robbins), an older family man who longs to return to his wife in St. Louis, and Colee (Rachel McAdams), a naive private who's pinned her hopes on connecting with a dead fellow soldier's family. What begins as a short trip unexpectedly evolves into a longer journey. Forced to grapple with old relationships, broken hopes and a country divided over the war, TK, Cheever and Colee discover that home is not quite what they remembered, and that the unlikely companionship they've found might be what matters the most.

i really really wanted to see this, never got a chance to see a screening. How in the world is Lionsgate not providing a Blu-ray release? Please tell me there is a Blu-ray treatment. I even saw the trailer in Full 1080p.
Once again...names not corresponding the floating heads! Eghh

I agree! Can't wait to see Rachel in both this movie and her next big movie in 2009, Guy Ritchie's "Sherlock Holmes" with Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law!

I LOVE Michael Peña, I really like Rachel McAdams and Tim Robbins, and this sounds like a good movie. It might seem like true "I-don't-want-to-think-about-THAT-right-now" material, but it's still a movie with good stars. That's all that I care about.

I TOTALLY agree. This happens all the time, on DVD covers and movie posters.
Are the people that design and approve the artwork just totally stupid, or do they think that being illogical is cool or something?
It makes no sense at all.

The worst part is that the artwork is of course alterable. I know that people are generally credited by contract, so in the case of this cover, Tim Robbins is probably contractually credited second, but it doesn't change the fact that it would be remarkably easy to just switch the photos of Robbins and Pena on the cover and it would do nothing to alter the quality, appeal or tone of this mediocre artwork. It irks me so much.
I'm sad to see this movie lacking an audio commentary. On performances alone -- on McAdams' performance alone even -- this is one of the best films of 2008. You'd think it'd be hard to recommend: the conflicts and resolutions of the story don't really give the movie a reason to exist, and there are some terribly convenient plot devices (the worst being a tornado), and yet just on the appeal of the characters, regardless entirely of what they are doing, I could have watched this movie for several more hours. Certainly McAdams will miss out on the opportunity to win an Oscar for her work here, but she certainly deserves a nomination.

I like Rachel McAddams, so I'll give this one a rent.
I heard good and bad things about this, but more good than bad. I'll see it.
I really wanted to see this...It looked very good
