OMG!!...that is the worst cover art EVER!!!they should'vd sticked with the poster!!
rework the coverart ... not a fan.
The artwork looks like "The Reaping"
The tagline for this movie, should be "Pull my finger."
Box art is lame, movie looked pretty bad.
I'd rather watch grass grow.
Why is the high-res art different than the advertisement art? I love the first one but I like the bottom one better since they stuck with the original poster art.
Horrible coverart.
Man this movie sucked. Avoid!!!
Love the art. I really want to see this and I'm a big Kristen Stewart fan.
I think the kid is trying to warn us. Or maybe he thinks we're dead? Either way I'm stayin' the hell away.

I mean, it's really great because films which were bad in the box office has like deleted scenes, an alternate ending, and that's all! Well, let's hope the 7 featurettes aren't short because I will gladly buy this movie even though people said it was bad.
Uh, this film did more than break even at the box office ($35 million domestically over a $16 million budget), so it did fairly well for itself. Not a hit, but solid nonetheless.

PG-13 - should not be associated with horror anymore. Period. Ruins so many potential good films...

Um, there is a big difference between the quality of The Messengers and the quality of The Eye regardless of the lack of originality. At least The Eye had an interesting story.
Totally irrelevant analogy son.

Excellent! This is one of my favorite movies ever. I love Kristen Stewart, I can't wait to see the featurette on her.
And yeah most people hated this movie...but I usually love movies that everyone else hates. =]

I agree that this movie was pretty bad. Probably what killed it was the: watered-down gotta keep it family friendly and not too scary bulls**t PG-13 rating. I can't even count how many horror movies have been ruined this way.
Garbage. This movie was more about laughs than scares. One of the years worst.
Man, this movie was a complete letdown in every way.
I expected so much from the Pang Brothers for their U.S. debut, only to find myself watching one of the most cookie cutter, cliched horror movies in recent history. Every single element of this film was just a rip-off off other horror films. As for the ending, retarded of course.
Avoid if you can.

I was VERY suprised by this movie. It was actually pretty creepy and shot very well. The only thing that sucked was the ending. I'll probably pick it up.
"John Corbett, Unexpected Villain" if that isn't a joke.
this had such potential, what a dumb movie.

Synopsis:
Quote: In The Messengers, the Solomon family leaves the hustle-and-bustle of Chicago life for the solace of a small, run-down farm in North Dakota. As Roy (McDermott) and Denise Solomon (Miller) try to repair their failing marriage, their troubled teenage daughter, Jess (Stewart), and 3-year-old son, Ben (Evan and Theodore Turner), realize their new farmhouse is haunted. The children see ghosts and find the apparitions intriguing until one night, when the ghosts’ sinister side is revealed, their true intentions are made apparent. The evil spirits tear the seemingly peaceful house apart and drag Jess into the darkness as she and Ben struggle to face the threatening spirits on their own.
