Buena Vista Home Entertainment has announced The Miracle Match (also known as The Game of Their Lives) which is a dramatic account of one of the greatest upsets in sports history: the 1950 soccer match between the United States and Great Britain. The disc will be available to own from the 12th September, priced at around $29.99. The film itself will be presented in 2.40:1 anamorphic widescreen, along with an English Dolby Digital 5.1 track. The only extra will be a 'National Soccer Hall of Fame' feature - whatever that is! Buena Vista hasn't revealed the artwork for this one yet, but we'll bring you that very shortly.

$30 for this? There is film available of the actual game this movie is based on, some of the players are still alive, so certainly there could have been a docu and behind the scenes feature. This was made by some of the guys who made Hoosiers so I was hoping for something along the lines of the Hoosiers set (which had the actual state finals basketball game included). It'll never make enough in sales to justify a doubledip second release collectors edition from the studio so I'll take my money elsewhere.
man another predictable sports movie? i'd be a sucker not to buy this DVD
this might be good!!!! i've always been interested by that game and Patrick Stewart is criminally underrated
