Quote: Powhatan tribal people stare in wonder as three ships approach shore. It’s a story every schoolchild knows. And as told by filmmaker Terrence Malick (Badlands, Days of Heaven, The Thin Red Line) in this Extended Cut with over 30 minutes of footage unseen in theaters, it’s a story you never imagined. Working in part from first-hand histories and adding his extraordinary sense of image and human drama, Malick crafts a spellbinding tale of the Jamestown settlement, of cultures connecting and of deadly consequences when connections fray. Capt. John Smith (Colin Farrell), Pocahontas (Q’orianka Kilcher), John Rolfe (Christian Bale): you know the names. But you could never experience the visceral power of the stories behind those names until now

epic movie making. horrendous cover art.
i have a feeling this is going to be among the best looking films in my blu-ray collection. terrence malick ftw.
Terrance Malck is an amazing director. One of my favorite films.
Pretty solid film, but I absolutely love the ending, particularly the final shot of the film with just the sounds of nature. Very poignant, and it still gives me chills thinking about it...yes, it's a long-winded film; definitely not for for the casual movie fan.
If it included the theatrical cut as well, I'd buy this. Otherwise it seems incomplete.
For some reason I never felt the need to watch this. But with some nice reviews I think I will check it out.
Oh yes... I've been waiting for this. Just wish they'd sc**p that cover.
One of the most beautiful, yet underrated romances of our time. In my opinion, it's up there with Titanic, maybe better.
This was the most drawn out piece of film I have ever scene. This bored me to tears. When I finally made myself finish it, I turned right around and pawned it off.
Back cover added
Oh boy, no multi-language? Good job Warner!
This is a good, but odd film...it's like three parts, with each having its own rhythm. This film will definitely benefit from the HD transfer...
