This was ok but the new film with Steve Carrell (spelling?) with it might be good or go horribly wrong....
I wish the series was offered wide, and not just by Time Life...
Two movies...
The Nude Bomb really wasn't very good. It's easy to get confused because of the other title (The Return of Maxwell Smart) but it shouldn't be mistaken for the late 80s revival TV flick Get Smart again, which featured Barbara Feldon (along with others) and was much closer in tone to the series.
The new movie actually looks quite amusing, so maybe rescuing the two spin-off movies from c**ppy transfers in UK bargain bins isn't such a bad thing after all.

Never seen it, but will give it a rent. Like the art.
I remember having this on VHS with the title "The Return of Maxwell Smart". I'll pick it up, but I almost wish they had just made it a bonus disc with the Masi Oka direct-to-DVD Get Smart movie coming out at the same time as the big screen adaptation. Too bad one is Universal and the other is Warner, would've made sense since it will have no bonus features. "Get Smart, Again" was far superior.
Fond memories of this as a kid. I'm sure I'll rent it.
I'm calling this "The-old-DVD-release-to-tie-in-with-a-new-film-trick!" Ironic how the title contains the term best used to describe it. One of Universal's biggest bombs of 1980. As cheezy as this film is, as a dedicated Get Smart fan, I'm actually considering picking it up.

Actually, Robert Karvelas is in the film playing Larabee as he did on the TV series and Joey Forman (Harry Hoo on the TV show) replaces David Mitchum as Agent 13.

I recall looking forward to this,as being a big fan of the TV show. And I recall my disappointment after watching it. No other cast members from the TV show are in this movie
I just remember cylons being in the film. And Max driving a desk. Otherwise, an unremarkable movie.
so is he the only actor from the series in this? and if so, does this mean the others were re-casted or did they simply make up reasons for them not to be around?
