New Line Home Entertainment has revealed details on The Orphanage which stars Belen Rueda, Fernando Cayo, and Roger Príncep. The Juan Antonio Bayona directed horror will be available to own from the 22nd April, and should retail at around $27.95. The film itself will be presented in 2.35:1 anamorphic widescreen, along with a Spanish Dolby Digital 5.1 EX track. English subtitles will also be provided. Extras will include a When Laura Grew Up: Constucting The Orphanage featurette, a Horror In The Unknown: Makeup Effects featurette, a Tomas' Secret Room featurette, a still gallery, and more. A Blu-ray release will also be available for $35.99. We've attached the official package artwork below:

Just watched this and it was fantastic. One of the best suspence (it's hardly a horror) movies I've ever seen.

Excellent and underrated film from 2007. Not so much scary as very unsettling and tension filmed. Don't get me wrong...there were at least two times I jumped out of my chair (and I don't scare easily) but there were many more times where I found myself slumping down in my seat from dread. I thought The Devil's Backbone was very over-rated and this reminds me of that film (which is bad) but it also reminds me of James Herbert's book The Secret of Crickley Hall (which is good!), so I think I might have to pop to the local arthouse cinema when this arrives later in March!

Blu-ray version here I come. I guess its the navy blue borders that actually improve the whole artwork. I like it much better now.

One of my most cherished films of 2008! I saw it twice for that matter. BD version all the way for me!

p.s Though am sure a Blu-ray version is bound for a release. The ads dont mention anything about it.
