The gap in Disney UK release dates is really beginning to bug me.

The fact we're getting Toy Story 3 like two months late at the cinema really gets on my wick! How does that not get a worldwide release??!
Ugly cover... I'd much more prefer this one:
http://shifong.files.wordpress.com/2009/12/prin... or at least remove the yellow border.

Well I'm sorry to hear that...but I am so looking forward to this movie like crazy...
...at least it's not coming out in October. Be thankful of that. "WALL-E" didn't come out in theaters in October of 2008, like "Ratatouille" (2007) and "Up" (2009), "WALL-E" also came out in July here where you guies live...which is what I also remember.
This movie is next on my Netflix.

Whenever we've brought up the issue of Disney's policy of staggering their releases outside the US (it seems the the UK is one of the biggest casualties), we effectively get shouted down, with people saying "why can't you just stop whinging and wait for three/four/however many months?"
We have been avoiding watching Disney/Pixar movies at the cinema and we just wait until we can get them as cheaply as possible on Blu-Ray, sometimes waiting until they hit the bargain bins.
Disney have been doing this for years and with the advent of Blu-Ray and with region-locking still being a big issue, their grip has tightened considerably and until region-free Blu-Ray players are commonplace, Disney will not reconsider their tyrannical position.

I love how they felt the need to change the quote between the DVD and Blu-ray.
The 1-month (and 5 days) gap looks acceptable compared to last year's Up (an unbearable 5-month gap). In Toy Story 3's case, the gap might have something to do with the World Cup having a far bigger impact on theater attendance outside the US than it has in the US. If you check it out, Toy story 3 rolls out across most of Europe starting July 2010.

Have the superset on pre-order. The back is rather crowded, though and I hate the Disney classics no. on the spine.
I wish they had gone for a different cover art..

If the only difference between the Superset and the Bluray Combi is a Digital Copy personally I would go for the Combi, no interest in digital copies here. It is very annoying the staggered release schedule Disney employ in the UK/IRE, I recently purchased a lot in the HMV BOGOF sale. Look forward to adding more titles in the future, decent price permitting.

I don't use the Digital Copies either, but the 3-Disc of this will look nice next to my Race to Witch Mountain and Up supersets. Plus, it was only £2 more.
