Yes, it was as terrible as reviews painted it. Or at least it ended up that way, not even a shadow of the brilliant Patrick McGoohan original. It began nicely but devolved into some extraordinarily lame jumble of sci-fi concepts which were completely out of place (the sleeper/dreamer... is this "Heroes"?). This seems to have been constructed to be entirely baffling and not in a good way, huge amounts of scenes or partial scenes which never fit into a cohesive whole. The original show was filled with mysteries and conundrums but not like this. I imagine this has completely obliterated any chance of the rumored Chris Nolan cinematic remake.
Was this really as terrible as reviews painted it?
Great series, no blu ray release sucks.
I was interested by the remake, but still I love the original way more. I will be happy to watch this show on DVD again.
