Can anyone tell me which release has the original Indonesian soundtrack? I'm a big time purist. I sincerely hope that this version and the UK version aren't the only English-friendly blu-rays.

Oh, get outta here. I live on martial arts movies, and the 2-on-1 finale was the best fight scene I've seen since Jackie took on Ken Lo in Drunken Master 2. This was a return to the Golden Age. Worst you've ever seen? Compared to what?
I thought of "Drunken Master" fight scene as well. This is my favorite 2012 film after "The Avengers".

Too much going on on that cover, but it could be worse.
Blame the audience for it being overhyped, don't blame the movie please. By now, people should know not to expect too much especially when a movie was labeled as "best ever". Take it with a grain of salt as they say.
I also agree that the box art is super c**ppy. What the hell happen to the poster art?!
Anyway, I like the silat in this movie. Outside of Merantau, It's literally been decades since my country has martial arts movie.

Wow, that's some bad cover art right there folks.
Movie was great, too overhyped, but that was the only way people would ever watch it.

Music By Linkin Park's Mike Shinoda? is this the same as the international version?
I hate the cover art. they should have used the movie poster art. AS a designer and photographer, that is one bad piece of design for a cover. total fail for one of my favorite movies of the year
Cool movie, brutal cover art...I really hope that tomato in the bottom corner is just a sticker!
That cover art is awful. Guess they needed to "action" it up for those that never heard of this but damn, couldnt they have done something else? The filters they used on top of the images just washes everything out. Is it supposed to be pulpy?
Now they're gonna show the Tomatometer on cover arts? Oy...

+ 1 on both accounts, the "I enjoyed it but felt highly overhyped" and the free-expression defense.

I loved this movie, excellent fight scenes. I can't wait to see what else Gareth Evans comes out with. I'm gonna try and find his other two films Merantau and Footsteps.
Whoooa that's bad art
Didn't love the movie, yet didn't hate it. It bleeds style and lacks substance. Guess that's the general rule for martial arts films.
I'm sorry to those that took it as slight to the movie. For what it was, on the budget it had, I thought it was good. But from word of mouth, people made it sound like a one of the best martial arts films ever made. It wasn't. And though my opinion may differ, I had a really tough time not laughing at the 2-on-1 fight scene. There were a lot of missed punches, and the direction/editing could have been better. I wanted to enjoy this, but I came in expecting too much.
One of the best martial arts films I have seen in sometime. I am saying this as a martial artists. The knife fight scene was fantastic! If you love action movies, you will love this film.

I appreciate the civility, but if Sweet8 is gonna lay down some hyperbole without any reasoning, he's asking for his opinion to be challenged.
Exactly. It's been called over-hyped before. That doesn't bother me. I love the movie. Love it. But if you thought it was overrated, I'm not going to try to change your mind. But to say that it had some of the worst fight scenes you've ever seen is just ridiculous. If Warriors Two, Police Story, and Drunken Master 2 were the only martial arts movies they'd ever seen, then I might forgive someone for making statement like that one.
At the end of the day, this is just a website about DVDs. I'm not going to lose any sleep over the guy or gal's opinions. But just as he's got the right to state his, I've got the right to state mine.

Mmm...I haven't seen this one - it neither has distributor nor release date here listed on IMdb - but the plot description awfully resembles the one from an 80s indie flick that used to be fun when I saw it, "Enemy Territory". Anybody here who has seen both movies can confirm whether I'm off the mark or not.

I couldn't disagree more. The martial arts were incredible and the entire movie had a Die Hard vibe that was nice to experience again. The last big fight scene had my jaw on the floor.
