They'll be using demographics to decide between DVD and Blu-ray, so your typical audience for these films probably isn't interested in HD.

Have you actually seen these films, Hedkickboy? I can't speak for "Sense and Sensibility", but "Remains of the Day" is a pitch perfect period drama.
Stop these hideous double features. Stop them, I say.
Seen both and they were sloooooow. Not necessarily bad, but by no means uptempo.
