THE RING TWO (2005)
I have to say with all the negaitve buzz surrounding the film, I found it very entertaining and a worthy sequel. Watts was great as always and I found this film very intresting. I am so sick of the unrated editions of films that don't need them, but whatever more movie for your buck I guess!
The Ring 2
Just to add my opinion: I was a huge fan of THE RING and I hated this movie and thought it was very cheesy. Even if you are a fan of the franchise, I would suggest renting before you buy this one.
I thought it was better than what said it was. I thought it was very entertaining and never once was confused about certain things. But I must wonder what will make this unrated? Could it possibly be a deleted death scene.
Personally, If this one gets commentary and deleted scenes, I'll be angry because the first film only had a few deleted scenes and the tape.It didn't even hacve the deleted scenes involving the killer.

I have not seen this yet and only planned on renting it but I think it's wrong for fans of the theatrical cut to get a fullscreen only release.
I'll buy it previously viewed when it's $9.99. A big disappointment! Nowhere near as great as the first! An entertaining enough but quite frankly pretty lame sequel. I really hope it includes the short film RINGS though that was released with the "Special Edition" of THE RING. You'd think they would since RINGS sets up the sequel. It's supposed to be great (much better than this sequel) and I'd like to see it.
I loved the first and thought it was one of the best films of 2002. It had great cinematography, performances, etc... Plus it was creepy. THE RING 2 was laughable and really cheesy at times. It also ends up being pretty pointless.

"Rings" was really good, and i was actually slighly disappointed that "The Ring Two" didn't really follow in that sort of path.
I enjoyed "The Ring Two" and thought it was pretty original for a sequel. I was worried it was just going to re-hash everything from the first movie but it actually delved further in.

its about freakin time the disc is announced. This movie was great. Not as scary as the first movie but just as great. Cant wait to get the unrated version!
I actually loved the movie, and admire the fact it didn't simply repeat the original. Still, I wonder what they could add to an Unrated version. The film is pretty dark in terms of theme, but it doesn't scream out for violence.
crap movie
couldn't stand this movie....the original was so much better!
Artwork added...
would be perfect if they took away the "super scary" comment thats smack in the middle of the poster.
cant wait for the unrated artwork

yeah, not to mention that i could really care less what Thelma Adams from US Weekly has to say about this movie.

I think they should switch the cover arts. I mean really...the scarier cover art for the scarier edition! And plus, I want the rated cover art, but I want the unrated version! Geez...just not fair.
Actually Dreamworks never has good temp artwork, it always looks better in person. But I hate the unrated cover, I like the rated cover though.
Bad movie, bad cover.
I rather enjoyed Ring 2. At first I had objections to the scene where Rachel has to Spoiler practically drown her son in order to save him but then realized that was the point of the drama; she's faced with an impossible choice. It gets you to wondering what you would do if faced with two options to solve a problem, both of which are morally problematic to some degree. Hopefully none of us are ever faced with a choice as extreme as the one Rachel has to deal with.
Then again, if it was me in that situation, I'd likely call an exorcist rather than try to attack the problem myself. ;-)

I thought the first one sucked! I'll be skipping this one six ways from Sunday.
Not seen this one yet, will def be getting this.
This was a tepid sequel, but true to the spirit of the original Ringu. WAY WAY better than the god awful Japanese sequel and prequel. The Ring remake was okay, but Ringu shat from great heights onto it.
I may get this if it has DTS.

Man, those covers suck. They need to be fixed ASAP. At least now all those desparate people who wanted a gruesome show might get it now.
the unrated artwork is perfect...phew, thought it would get screwed up somehow
Hey, who decided on "full frame" only...not that I care, I'm picking up the Unrated edition, but really...Full Frame only?
first they use daveigh chase's likeness in the sequel and now that unrated cover, not bad for a movie she wasn't involved with..more money for her i guess..lol
Let me get this straight: Unrated comes in widescreen and full screen, but the theatrical edition is full frame only? I hate you, Dreamworks.
Full frame? Pluuuease.....livin' in the '80s still?
At least they are releasing the rated and unrated together
At least they are releasing the rated and unrated together
Universal?
OK, well, I just realized it says that UNIVERSAL STUDIOS is going to release the film on DVD. the ring TWO was made by DreamWorks SKG. Are NBC/Universal and DreamWorks attached?
so it will include the Rings short? i dont own the first one yet so i guess i wont have to buy that special 2 disc they did for the first movie....lol
Knew they'd stick that short on the Ring 2 disc. They know they have to
