Quote: A divine film adaptation from Richard O'Brien's British musical horror comedy/rock opera, produced by Lou Adler and Michael White, The Rocky Horror Picture Show features revered performance by Tim Curry (Clue, Home Alone) as a bizarre and self-proclaimed "sweet transvestite from Transsexual, Transylvania," and Susan Sarandon (Dead Man Walking, Thelma and Louise) and Barry Bostwick ("Spin City"), as Brad and Janet, a couple who find themselves lost on a cold, rainy night. The madcap, musical mayhem begins when the couple takes refuge in the castle of Dr. Frank-N-Furter as he is about to unveil his greatest creation – and have a bit of fun with his reluctant guests.

Not much into the movie but they used to have a late friday screening in the Sydney city that had audience participation, actors running around and mimicking the parts on screen - all pretty good....
The original DVD was always one of the best looking ones upscaled through a projector, so given that it's had the 2K treatment, it should look pretty damn good on Blu.
The original participation track has been archived on the new edition (entitled a "vintage" version) and the PIP is a brand new feature which gives you the chance to watch the movie with a floor-show, as per midnight screenings. As listed above, at least one of the new featurettes covers the making of this new PIP option, including the casting of it. Yeah, we also thought that new extras could be better applied than covering the making of other new features.
Now if only they could get a certain cast members' permission to use the footage of themselves and finish the "Once in a While" sequence...

This is so epic. Saw it recently with a friend. Loved it. Hope the PQ is remastered right.
That's because it's the UK release.
Please, there's really nothing wrong with it. I've seen far worse. People complain about everything.
p.s - These sites are all saying the 18th of October and have different cover art to the one above:

It's another case of screwing up a perfectly fine cover art for the Blu-ray.
I had to watch it a couple times to appreciate it. But still, I'm not eager to upgrade this.

Awesome, however I HATE the cover!

as for someone's comment on the cover, considering he's some sorta drag queen its kinda fitting what the cover implies. lol
While the character of Frank is bisexual, the majority of cross-dressers are heterosexual.

That cover looks so like a blow up doll, like the ones in that Only Fools & Horses episode. This movie has some good songs, I certainly love Susan Sarandon singing Touch-A, Touch-A Touch Me.
Never bothered watching this. One of the local theaters here plays it like every other weekend at midnight.

I think that's part of the PiP track.
