One of the best westerns of all time. I will be picking this up.

The greatest western ever made. A definite must have.
Waiting a long time for a quality version on dvd. Must see for all film fans.
Why did I buy the the c**p 1 disc this Christmas. I`m definately double dipping for this, the third best western of all time(next to The Wild Bunch and The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly).
Now where's the special edition of "McQ"?
Was that the original poster art? Glad to hear of a Bogdonavich commentary: he knew many of the great Hollywood directors really well.
Did not really like this.. racist..piece of cinema. But would really like to listen to the commentary track.

And did it make up the basic idea of settlers being brutally killed by Indians? No. So what's the problem?
The rest of film is the pain of those who have loved ones killed/taken which is real no matter what other views people have.
Good film for sure and Wayne is great, but the (oft used in Waynes films, but normally they fit better) rather humourous scenes water down the essentially tragic and deadly serious events.
