I rather enjoyed this movie, but I am disappointed that there is no known extras and the title was cut down.
I saw half of this on a plane and was not impressed. The trailer and the plot seem like a cool idea though.Isn't the cover kind of a spoiler??They show you the signs.
The Vendetta wrote: It's almost funny how terribly photoshopped that "artwork" is. Chris Eccleston's face almost looks like it's melting off of his skull. And what's up with the kid's floating glowing marble thingies? Blech.
As I say: S**t artwork for a s**t movie.Just curious, but obviously you haven't seen the movie you would know what the "floating glowing marble thingies" are. Just wondering how you think it is a sh*t movie if you haven't seen it...

This movie is suppose to suck.
Why isn't Fox releasing new movies on Blu Ray,do they expect people to buy the same movie months later?Couldn't care less about the movie, but fox really seems to mistreat Blu as much as it does it's Fantasy adaptations
Yeah this is just the poster with new text and more c**p floating in front of the kid. Does the kids nose/mouth look really distorted and liquified? Thats just awful.
I think I will seek something else.
I read all the bad reviews about The Dark is Rising: The Seeker on its initial release, however I got a free pass to the see the movie, and I must say, it was quite enjoyable. I agree I can't see it kick starting the franchise from books to screen, but it was not as bad as the reviews made out - but then again I enjoyed Eragon!
I'll give this a blind buy. I just enjoy fantasy films for the most part.
Completely forgot about this film, and that's another franchise strike out for Fox (Eragon before it). I don't understand how Fox thinks they can produce quality fantasy film adaptations if they don't put some serious work into them. Half the reason why Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings and Narnia are successes is because the studios put effort into them.
disappointed in the movie despite the presence of ian McShane and Chris Eccleston
It did horrible box office, might give it a rent though.
Why rent? by paying for bad movies, you are supporting them and causing more bad oens to get made

This is the most trite boring artwork. It is time to come up with a new idea. I am sick of seeing the same lame artwork. This and the floating heads are making me wonder if cover designers are on strike, too.
The books are so good, I still remember them after at least 8 or 9 years. Definitely NOT watching this! I was even disappointed by the Narnia movie. What's next I wonder?
Looked really bad. I will have to pass.
Seriously, what the hell Ian McShane? Are you just totally disinterested in good Hollywood movies? (he asked, not having seen any of them)
This was a box office bomb (it made less than $10 million domestically) and a critical failure. I'll pass.

I have the urge to watch it because McShane stars.
Its not that bad (artwork). I do think the colours dont work together though.
