Am I right in believing that subsequent box set packaging will feature the heads of other characters.

this is just a special edition packaging. it will also come out in an alternative box more in line with the other box sets. but i think it would be a good guess to think that other box sets will show other characters. guess it depends on how well it sells. i wouldn't want to have that box. i prefer the alternative.

Well, the "alternative" packaging isn't available in the shops in the USA and Canada, and we've seen pictures of the boxed sets until season 10 and it's the whole family... Why change the packaging of a series in the middle of it?

Well, the "alternative" packaging isn't available in the shops in the USA and Canada, and we've seen pictures of the boxed sets until season 10 and it's the whole family... Why change the packaging of a series in the middle of it?
I don't think they should waste money even releasing this packaging. Very few fans are going to appreciate it as much as they would have originally hoped.

come on bruno billion open your eyes. they want to make money. maybe they want to try and see if this packaging sells more? maybe they want to get some poor suckers and collectors to pay twice for the product. and forgive me for being blunt i have read some comments on this site for a long time where people are complainign about companies double dipping but then saying that they would buy some 10 sec. extended cut or some disk with some more extra material. these guys make it worth the companies while to double dip and take the p*ss out of us.

People complain about double dipping when the companies release a single disk with next to no extras then 6 months later they release a special edition with heaps of extras and sometimes better sound (i.e DTS (but that is another debate)). That means that I didn't get a choice and if you are a person that likes extras then you get ripped off.
It costs them a bit more to produce the packaging and for us to buy it, it makes it more expensive as shipping prices are increased to compensate the larger than normal packaging and how fragile it might be. Also, if the price becomes too expensive, it can also promote piracy and therefore less are sold.

I had to remove the menus as Gracie Films/Matt Groening are threatening to sue anyone who dares to actually try and promote their releases by including screen caps from the DVD... This is why the review of season six has also been removed from the site.
