Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has announced 1-disc DVD ($30.99), a 3D Blu-ray/DVD Combo ($45.99), and 3-disc Blu-ray/DVD Combo ($40.99) releases of The Smurfs for December 2nd. The only extra material on the 1-disc DVD will be a Find the Smurfs Game, a Smurfs: Comic Book to the Big Screen featurette, and a Going Gargamel feature. The 3D Blu-ray/DVD Combo will also include a Director's Commentary, a Producer, Writers and VFX Supervisor Commentary, deleted and extended scenes, and more. As far as we know, the Blu-ray/DVD Combo will not include the commenataries. Art is attached:

thats why one version is 3 discs, the 3rd is the christmas special. though considering how short it likely is, i'm sure they could have easily fit it onto the blu-ray disc but i guess they want more money. lol

That's waaay too much blue for a cover. There was no way I was gonna watch this movie. Straight up PASS!
Had and still have absolute ZERO interest for this movie. I'm desperate to stock up on my BD titles, but nowhere near that level of desperation.
Personally, I've no clue what you're talking about. The Smurfs surpasses both The Godfather Part 2 and A Clockwork Orange. It's the masterpiece to end all masterpieces.

Seriously - what did you guys expect? This is from the same person that spat out "Beverly Hills Chihuahua" and both "Scooby Doo" films. This is a mockery of a great Television series, I agree, but it just put $483.3 million in his and Columbia Pictures' pockets.
