This had better not be the start of Sony region coding
Sony only region code new release titles on BD where the US release is before the UK, Europe and Australia. So in the case the US is RA only as out a month earlier so a deterent to stop you importing. The UK release is all regions as by then they don't care about that being imported elsewhere.
On back catalogue Sony don't care for example Desperado and Once Upon a Time in Mexico are both all region even though only out in US with no UK release scheduled, but as back catalogue they don't care about importing to Europe.

That right and it's exactly what region coding is supposed to be for: protecting International release windows. As much as I dislike it, I can see their point for new releases, just not catalogue stuff (like the old days of Fox).

People have been loving this all day on twitter, and I hate them for being able to have it, can't wait, my absolute film of the year.
