Okay to all of you who are wishing for a "real" ending:
Spoiler There WAS an ending. It was not a cliffhanger and it did not just end randomly, everything was there you just have to watch it closely to see. Perhaps upon the release of the DVD you can re-watch the ending as many times as you need to, but everything was all there. The brilliance of this show is that you really have to think to firmly understand what the writers are intending. It was never intended to be a 2D show. The depth in the build up to the blackout gives away everything.

If thats part of your morality I understand, but thats really what makes the show so interesting. Seeing a man torn between his evil mob life and the life he lives trying to love and take care of his family.
The Sopanos is rubbish. I tried watching it once and realised that the main guy is actually a baddie. No thanks! If he was a good guy then that would be ok but I don't think i'll take the chance to watch this. No thanks!
You have to be really good at forcing yourself to believe something if you say you like the ending of this show. I appreciate that they tried to do something different, but it was a huge disservice to fans.
why are people wondering if there will be a real ending? did they miss it when it aired?
the ending of 'the sopranos' was one of the most ingenious finales in TV history... probably the best ending to a TV show that I can think of.

Sorry, but this show is WAY OVER PRICED. It's up thre with the STAR TREK TV Show prices.
I don't understand the negativity about the ending. It was brilliant! What would you prefer, a "Scarface" all guns blazing finish?! There were some very subtle yet ingenious clues throughout to indicate the meaning of the ending. Anyone who doesn't "get" the ending or was pissed off at the lack of the series finishing in a blaze of glory obviously only watched The Sopranos because it was about the mob and there are people who get whacked! Get a grip and realise that The Sopranos never was and never will be "Hollywood".
In defence for the ending (which, after being angry about it for a few hours, i realized was actually quite awesome)... for those who hate it cause they think its a cliffhanger... pay attention to what Bobby says on the boat with tony in the first ep of this season. In case people forgot they flash back on him saying it again in the second before last ep. Im pretty sure those words are meant to be kept in mind when they cut to black.
Amazing episodes.... MUCH better than season 6 part one... and all of season 5 for that matter.

I have never really seen the appeal of this show. And what is with the ending that I keep hearing so much negativity about? Was it the final season or something?

Being on a message board at all is pretty dangerous if you are trying to avoid spoilers. If you avoided newspapers why aren't you avoiding the net....
It has been 2 months since the show aired, what is the time table until people can talk freely?
The guy was from the UK. Like me. We are not as lucky as you, we have to wait til November/December for the final 9 episodes to air. I have actually already seen it and think its easy enough to discuss the season without ruining the ending.
fair enough.

Personally, I felt that the ending was brilliant. It took me 24 hours to really realize it, but it really is.

Is there going to be a behind the scenes of the making of the last shot?
October is shaping up to be an expensive month, I've waited this long to buy any of the sets so I think I'll hold out untill the complete series collection is available next year.
A hundred bucks for 9 episodes??? Man, HBO is killing me with these prices. I have yet to puy any of The Sopranos on dvd because of these prices but I will wait and see what kind of Complete Series package they put together. I guess I'd better start saving now...
Knowing HBO they price it as the same as the other seasons even though this one is only 9 episodes. The cover is good but the only thing I don't like about it is that it doesn't go with all the others. All the others had the whole cast on the front. This one just has Tony.
Damn, $130 for the Blu-ray version! Common', I love the Sopranos, but I might have to pass on this.
What's the point? better wait for the complete 6th season release...
Excellent cover, bad price, specially for the awful ending...unless there are plans for more episodes, people, let us have actual endings with real closures!
The best Soprano's cover art yet.
Please be careful of spoilers for those of us who haven't seen it or had the ending spoiled by newspapers.
Amazing cover art. 100 bucks is a little pricey though. Hopefully there will be an actual ending.
Are there any deleted scenes? perhaps a real ending scene?
I really like this cover art. It's the first season I ever watched on tv instead of dvd.
