How is 3.5 ot of 4 'alright'? Surely that's near the top end of the scale?
Yep it's the top end of the scale for Roger but he's been wrong before, he recently gave the new Indiana Jones film 3.5 stars as well, yikes!

In all seriousness, I never saw this one, I need to check it out. I happen to enjoy Affleck's movies. I never jumped on the bashing bandwagon and those that did, gotta feel silly as hell after his great turn as George Reeves in "Hollywoodland" and his directorial debut "Gone Baby Gone". I don't know an actor who doesn't have an ISHTAR in their resume, not sure why he caught all the s**t for his.

I actually rate Sum of All Fears quite highly. You have to completely disregard the series chronology but the film is a (IMO) a lot better than the Ford Jack Ryan's. And I'm a lapsed Ford fan. Good to see Indy back though.

It's a shame about the "Bennifer" incident - where Ben made a complete idiot of himself dating Jennifer Lopez. I find it impossible to take any of his films seriously now (I always giggle when I see him in any films!).
I think this is actually fairly sharp and ballsy for an action film.
Since when is being in a relationship with someone making "a complete idiot of" oneself? The "Bennifer" thing wasn't a clever ploy construed by Mr. Affleck, but a product of today's media.

Yep, it's a shame that the Media went over-kill with the "Bennifer" incident. I actually enjoyed the film "Paycheck" - but most cinemagoers avoided the film. I found "Sum of All Fears" a bit bland (but better than Patroit Games).
I can't see Affleck becoming an "A list" moviestar again. Hopefully, he will have a career as a director or supporting actor (or TV series).

I'll get The Sum of All Fears for Morgan Freeman only, because not only do I not like Ben Affleck, but Affleck is no Jack Ryan! I'd rather watch Alec Baldwin as Jack Ryan than Affleck!
