Well, this wasn't much like Martyrs (aside from one similar element) and there was no gore from what I remember. Halfway through the movie, it drops the act and turns into a crime drama.

I've actually heard it's pretty terrific and that Jessica is great in it. I definitely want to see it. I thought Martyrs was good. Didn't love it but it was solid and the gore was pretty cool. I don't care if this is nothing like that though. It still seems interesting.

Saw this last weekend. Really boring, and completely misleading movie. There is no horror or supernatural elements, sorry to say. Those crying "plagiarism" over using the Tall Man from Phantasm, etc., should be relieved. This will probably be airing on Lifetime in a year or so. Awful.

Such a good film. It's not what you expect it to be at all, especially coming from the director of Martyrs.

Terrible movie. Plays like a Lifetime Original Movie, especially how it ends.

i just watched TALL MAN last night and i liked it a lot! it's a VERY good thriller/horror movie and costars SILENT HILL's Jodelle Ferland (she was fantastic in it!), SUPERNATURAL's Samantha Ferris (Ellen of Ellen & Jo! lol) and "the smoking man" from the X-FILES William B Davis.

the movie is atmospheric, the cinematography is breathtaking IMO and the acting from all is pitch perfect! some people are saying this isn't a horror movie but IMO they are wrong. admittedly this is more THRILLER/drama/horror (in that order). just because there's no gore (like MARTYRS) doesn't mean it's doesn't qualify as a horror movie, just don't expect something like MARTYRS.

this movie has at least 2 or 3 twists that i never saw coming (so don't watch any trailers or read any reviews that may spoil the movie!).

You know, if you're to include "special" features, at least give us a run for our money... or just drop them completely... or re-release VHS tapes.

Didn't hear good things about this one, but may give it a rent just because the guy who did Martyrs directed it.
