I love the Three Stooges shorts of yesteryear, but I have no idea what to think about this film version.
I'm a huge Stooge fan and I went to this with an open mind and actually enjoyed it. I think they did about as good as anyone could have done in making a new Stooge flick -- the cast is pretty dead on in their portrayals of "the boys". Of course, if you're not a fan of the Stooges' schtick then this won't convert you.
I would agree, this is by no means a good film, but the Stooges themselves are about as funny as they've ever been, and some of the non stooges gags are funny too. Larry David is hilarious in this. I would say the film is mainly for kids to get the exposed to the magic of the stooges, or for long time fans who just want to see the Stooges back. I wish this had done better at the box office, cuz I honestly thing they could improve things in a sequel.
This movie bomb which it should the only thing good about this movie was seeing Kate Upton that's it
Actually, it wasn't a bomb. It made 42 million domestically from a 30 million dollar budget. That meant it was successful.
I'll rent it or something. I'm a fan of the classics and I was dreading this but those I know who actually did see it say it's not as horrible as it's made out to be.
wow, they added "the movie" on the cover? did they think someone might mistake it for the original tv series or something? weird. lol
i always think it's funny when someone (like Nightmare) says a movie is a "bomb" when it isn't. lol. my question is why didn't this open internationally? the $42 million is domestic gross only and it hasn't opened anywhere else. are the 3 Stooges really only known in the states?
I have to say,Will Sasso and Chris Diamantopoulos were dead on as Moe and Curly.They look just like them.
