Honestly, I don't understand why they would make it in two parts. The deal with Harry Potter I get, but not with Breaking Dawn. Why couldn't they just make mega long movie? I read the books and, in my honest opinion, are miles better than the films, without a doubt! Out of all the Twilight films, Breaking Dawn was the one I was most looking forward to. Since I heard the movie was going to be directed by an oscar nominee, I thought this movie was gonna be great! But it wasn't. Out of all the films, it would be the second to least favorite Twilight film if not the least. There were a ton of things I wanted to see like the sex scenes, the wedding scene, the birth scene, the imprinting scene, and the scene where Bella turns into a vampire. I was disappointed with some, but they still delivered. They never give the audience much time with the Cullens, only on Eclipse. The acting was absolutely terrible! The only reason some of these people where cast in the movie was because they were good looking so that it will give teenage girls a reason to come and watch. I am a 15 year old girl and I don't really focus on that. Taylor and Robert are hot as hell, but I'm attracted to guys who have talent! But I have to admit, it won't be emotional, but I will miss the movies after they're gone.
Anyways, onto the cover. The art is obviously lazy photoshop work. But then again, there is something about it that I really like. It could be the wedding picture at the bottom. Holy c**p! Bella, Kristen Stewart, is actually smiling on the blu-ray, or at least she looks like she's trying to. You do not know how extremely rare that is. Nonetheless, the cover does stay true to the other Twilight covers.
Ha ha! Now that I actually look closer, it looks like Kristen REALLY IS trying hard to smile but can't. Smiling to her is probably like opening a jar of pickles for us. IT'S DIFFICULT! Ha Ha!

Seizures, Smeizures. I love Part 1 of Breaking Dawn except the ending but I don't know what's gonna happen in Part 2. The suspense is killing me. I gotta add this date to my ipod.
Go, Team Jedward!

The blu-ray cover isn't as nice as the DVD cover. I enjoyed this one more than any of the previous ones. Will probably purchase at some point. Kristen Stewart's little smirk on the Blu ray cover is off putting.
It's so weird to see Kristen Stewart smiling on the Blu-Ray artwork after 3 movies of that lip-biting face she does so well! But about the movie, I actually thought it was a huge step up from the first 3 films. The last 20 minutes alone was better than the other 3 combined.
C**ppy cover art for one of the biggest pieces of cinematic and literary horse feces in society today.
That's all right. I'm thinking WB and Fox would be better off letting Summit be in charge of their home video releases, but only for their big tentpole franchises. I would've loved to see Summit do loaded releases of "X-Men: First Class", the Nolan Batman films, and the entire Harry Potter series.
Regardless of one's feelings toward the movie, one has to give Summit kudos for not shafting the DVD of special features.

Oh, God. Nooooooooooo. Not again. Guess I'll be avoiding any Best Buy in an affluent neighborhood with women ages 12-60 on Feb. 11.

People who don't like the 2-parter of "Deathly Hallows" do make a valid point that Part 1 is all set-up with little action, while Part 2 is slam-bang action all the way through. But they're also two distinct movies too.
"Breaking Dawn" clearly doesn't need to be broken into two movies, but Summit jumped off WB's plan to extend their bread-and-butter franchise for another year (and earn another $500M worldwide). I didn't read the book, but just watching Part 1 you can tell Bill Condon and Melissa Rosenberg struggled to stretch half the book into a 2-hour film. There's some decent character development and improved performances, but "Breaking Dawn" should've been one film.
And say what you want about the franchise, but at least Summit doesn't neglect the DVD releases when it comes to extras like commentaries and documentaries. I wish WB and Fox still did this.
I agree wholeheartedly about Summit not skimping out on the extras. If I'm gonna waste 20-40 bucks on a movie, I better get some damn extras.

Will wait until some poor soul returns it to an FYE, and I will purchase pre-owned and wait for the rifftrax.
Sure not watching it at all, I think Deathly Hallows was good for two parts.
I'll get it even though I thought the movie was boring and the two parts should be combined into one film. The last Twilight film was great
The first film was good, the second was poor, and I stopped after that. Don't need this one. But I do think that its window from theaters to DVD was the smallest in a while. Only four months? Barely.
I thought this was quite decent. I mean, the last 20 minutes alone is one of the best things I've ever seen in a Twilight film. It's quite brutal as well, and I loved the cliffhanger. 6/10
i agree that this was a VERY boring movie. it's smart business-wise for them to stretch the movie into two parts but it's insulting overall. they could have done away with much of what's in this and made it one film. that being said, i think the last installment might be pretty good. the Volturi is coming for Belle/Renesmee (what a god awful name..lol. Stephanie Myers should be ashamed). Michael Sheen makes any movie more watchable. i hope this next movie is good.
Tubby teenage goths of the world, rejoice!

This was so damn lame and boring. I mean even the most diehard twilight fans should be disappointed. I admit the first film was a little better than I expected but each sequel is pretty lame. Eclipse was ok but these films are very overrated, not to mention the acting is awful. That may be the biggest flaw, if the actors tried just a LITTLE it might have more impact,
No DVD/Blu-ray combo this time?
Buying because I loved it. It was exactly like the book, a comedic clusterf*** of a mess.
Day one ignore for me.
