The Twilight Saga isn't actually all that bad. The movies get better and more action-packed as the series progresses.

That's not saying a whole lot. The first one was absolutely terrible and the second one was slightly better. Overall a very boring series of movies.

And I'm sure there'll be the 3-disc Target Exclusive Edition with exclusive cover art to go with this as well.
The first was utter drivel, but I was surprised I liked the previous two. Will I buy them? No. Only renting for now to appease the boyfriend. Maybe he will get the Blu-ray box set of all the films when it's released.

No Twilight for me.
Looking forward to the last one. Cus then it'll all be over.
An okay film, better than the first two. I don't know why Summit didn't peg this for an October release, but I guess a December release is more profitable for Christmas/holiday gifts.
Eh, "Twilight" and "New Moon" were mediocre in my opinion. The reason why they aren't well-made isn't because it's irritating. It's because it's boring. "New Moon"'s last hour was somewhat entertaining, but the first hour was just drawn-out, dry, and tedious. Never saw "Eclipse", but will rent since David Slade is directing.
As for the books, I read "Twilight" and "New Moon". Again, nothing special, but the books are still better than the movies.

This movie is undoubtedly the best in the entire Twilight saga. It's much more action packed and flows so much better than the previous two movies. Whereas there were many slow and "boring" moments in the first two, Eclipse was entertaining from beginning to end (at least, I thought so). I'm a fan of the entire series, but even I can admit that the first two were quite flawed. This one...not nearly as much.

I haven't since "Eclipse" but I HIGHLY doubt a Twilight movie can be that good. Yes, "Twilight" and "New Moon" were not bad, but very mediocre. So have the performances and dialogue have gotten better?

I don't like Twilight but Eclipse was the most enertaining one in the series by far. Whatever they did on that first movie was really botched. Why would the second two make $300 million while the first didn't even crack $200 million.
Anyway these movies are still bad. The acting is wooden, the whole romance with Jacob & Edward is eye-rollingly dumb and there seems to a fantasy type element missing from this movie series that could possible rise it up over the material that they are not taping into.

Twilight was a below average vampire film with some of the stupidest aspects imaginable but it was obviously made for fans of the series and teenagers. The second one though was the worst film of the year IMO. Words can not explain the abomination that Chris Weitz directed.
This film I'm truly skeptical on seeing because of New Moon. (Twilight was pretty bad but you could obviously realize that the target audience is teenage girls) The only reason why I'd watch it would be because David Slade is directing this one.
I won't blind buy. I'll probably rent with poor expectations.

Eclipse was a big improvement over New Moon.
I'll take the Blu-ray + DVD combo.
Jeez the first one wasnt THAT bad. I liked the high school stuff tho. This was a lot better than the boring new moon. It was still kinda confusing
YAY more constipated teens on the cover!

Performances are a bit better. Pattinson actually smiles from time to time (which is refreshing as he only pouted or frowned in the first two movies), and there's one scene with Bella and her mom early in the film that's actually pretty touching.
Dialogue hasn't improved one bit. Like Bella's impulsive "Jacob, kiss me!" God, I wanted to slap Kristen Stewart at that point.

I'm going to wait and see all of the exclusives before I make a decision. I have Twilight and New Moon target exclusives...and we all know that Eclipse is going to get the Target exclusive, Wal-Mart exclusive, Best Buy exclusive, FYE exclusive, and Borders exclusive. Just their way of getting more people to buy their copy.
And yes, I'm going to buy this movie. I really like them. I don't think of them as anything more than just entertainment...I know they are not works of art or Oscar worthy but they are still entertaining, in my opinion.

The faces on it look so photoshopped. Also, I'm not fond of floating heads as covers. Then again, since I don't give a damn about this series, it doesn't matter much. Just interested in checking out the covers.

Yeah I'll be buying the Target edition to match the 1st 2 I already have.

Here Here! You're clearly not interested in this series, so why bother commenting on it at all?

Disciple, i don't get why people who hate or simply aren't interested in a certain movie feel compelled to go on to that page and read the comments and take the time to post a comment on it? LOL. it's so stupid IMO. that being said, Eclipse was pretty good. i admit that i was a million times more interested in Jasper and Rosalie's story lines than i was in anything Bella/Ed/Jacob. and the replacement of Rachelle's VICTORIA with Bryce Howard is terrible. Bryce was abysmal trying to play this character whereas Rachelle was amazing! the action sequences (the short battle and the training for that battle) are awesome though!
Any word on if the DVD/Blu-ray is in fact two seperate discs? I keep having this fear it's a flipper disc and I have no idea why.
