Who shives a git
How many more releases are these [sub-par] films gonna get?
And yeah, I get that this is Blu-Ray, the end all be all until holograms or whatever, and that it's a standard re-release, but still, there's stuff that hasn't even been released on SD DVD yet, or are out of print and all that. Just frustrating. Sorry.

man, back when blu-ray / HD DVD were new, i was under the impression that since they had so much room, we'd see multiple disc sets cut down big time. but 7 discs? thats like just 3 less than the regular DVD collection.
same can be said for tv seasons, i figured we'd be seeing 2 or 3 disc collections and so far, most blu-ray seasons are maybe 1 disc less than the regular dvd version...what a jip..lol i'm sure having 67 different audio options and 170 commentaries eats space too...they should cut down on that stuff.
but its funny..sorta full circle, a 7 disc blu-ray collection is 130$ ...remember when that was cheap for 7 regular dvd collections...i remmeber payign that price for the first 4 or 5 X-Files seasons...the more things change, the more they stay the same...lol

The first Matrix is the only one worth owning.
I'm just surprised no one has ever gone back and changed the purple scheme to green on the first movie's art. Just to make things more uniform...not complaining at all. Just surprised.
Already own this on hd dvd, but i want the Nebuchadnezzar model that the Japenese set is coming in! Thats gonna be an expensive set! But worth every penny. PLEASE bring it to the US Warner!
I really enjoy the films (even the sequels, which were disappointing but still entertaining) and would love to see this get an R2 release instead of the 3-disc set we're getting.
Arse, The Animatrix is now in 1080p. Bah. I've got the HD DVD set and all of the SD sets/singles, so I probably won't upgrade just for that. PITA though.
I hope they change those individual cover arts
They won't. Those are the covers used in the HD DVD sets.
Maybe now I'll pick it up. Kept meaning to get the HD DVD...but then again since that's so cheap i may still.

Oh that's lame. What was wrong with the covers used in the DVD box set. Those were much better. Oh well.

you have to remember that they aren't just taking the DVD transfer and slapping it onto a Blu Ray disc. the 1080p video takes up more space than the 480p standard version.

I'm agree 110%. I simply ignore the existence of the 2nd & 3rd movies.

just give me a special edition to the first.
seriously.
thats all i ask.

I could be tempted to get this, but it'll have to be much later on down the line, after a couple price drops.....
Sweet!!
I wish they would just release the movie only box set like they did on HD-DVD. I have the ultimate set on DVD already, I just want the movies in high-def. I'll pass on this since all the special features are basically the same discs I have I'm sure.
Don't screw us over, Warner!!!
Don't screw us over, Warner!!!
Finally Thank you Warner
The HD DVD Set looks fantastic - beyond demo materials, I sold that though - Time to buy this set again in Blu. Might consider getting the Japanese LE BD.
Muh muh muh $130 I wont pay that muh muh
Oh shut up you idiots.

I think $129.95 is the List Price
Amazon has it for $90.95, probably can buy it cheaper if you wait a bit...

already got the dvd box, and i waited till that was $50 to pick it up. The sequels are garbage and the first has lost a lot of its appeal (due to multiple viewings, excessive fan-boy gibberish, and the taint of poorly conceived sequels). There are movies you re-buy on blu-ray (batman begins, for example). There are movies you buy just because its blu-ray ("300"
. And there are movies where once is enough. The matrix box falls into that category.
Hey Chris,
Any idea if they'll be released separately?
Please Warner, don't force us to buy the whole darn thing, plus the kitchen sink. I never bought the remastered SD DVD's because of that annoying digipak boxset.
I just want the movies.

This boxed set is the only one listed on Warner's site.
Sigh.

How does such ignorance as this continue to permeate forums such as DVD Active? Do some research on what "compression" and "quality" means, and then do some further research to connect the two together.
P.S. To all those haters, we NEED major studios releasing high-profile films on Blu to increase player sales which will decrease the current high cost of both software and hardware. Lord of the Rings trilogy in hi-def anybody? Think what those films alone would do for Blu.

About time! Will buy for sure.
