So then, Palisades Tartan UK, how can the US operation offer this mega set? How is it that they have access to the colour version of Lady Vengeance when Hugh K. David said it wasn't available to PT? Why is the SRP for this set less than the RRP of buying the three films separately in the UK? I'm a little bit annoyed to tell you the truth. Would have been better to hold off for a few months and give both countries identical content.

At least you guys get Thirst on Blu-ray. . .but I do think its odd that the UK does not get this set.
Yeah, I have a copy of Thirst on the way. Should know if it's region locked or not in a couple of days.
I hope hope hope this is not region locked. The UK releases of these great films were an absolute disgrace, extras wise.
Will this include the fade to black Lady Vengeance version on the korean dvds? I own a copy with it on it but there were zero subtitles for it.
I can't wait to have this set

That information is in the press release.

This was supposed to be released on 11/24/09. Now I finally understand why the local MovieStop keeps saying its on backorder...
Dammit. Already got the Oldboy Blu-ray, months ago....
Oldboy is my all time favorite film but I haven't seen either Vengences which makes me mad. Will without a doubt pick up.
Really liked Old Boy, fell asleep during one of the others. Maybe I should give them a new chance.
Have the Oldboy blu-ray, but will definitely pick this up to get the other 2 on my hands and pass the old copy to a friend.
I'm tempted to say I like Lady Vengeance even more than Oldboy.

Day one purchase, love these films.
WOW!!! Amazing! I didn't want to be shortchanged, which is why I imported a PS3 from the US a year ago. It is the first 60gb one, with SA-CD capibility and hardware support for PS2 games. The best part? It plays Region A Blu-rays! So, this set is right on top of my buy list now!
I loved all 3. I felt Sympathy for Mr. Vengence was the most raw and brutal one, Oldboy was the most accomplished and definately best one and Lady Vengence was the most visually stunning one. While I bought the 3 disc edition of Old Boy (The one packed like Band of Brothers), I was contemplating on which Lady Vengence to pick up. Now I get both the versions and possibly the best 2010 box set!
Didn't Chris Gould have these 3 movie pics as his signature, before he changed it to that hot babe? Another fan of the trilogy! I just can't wait for Mar 16!

So Lady Vengeance is getting both Colour and Fade to Black versions?
I'm sure the UK will get it too, sooner or later.

We should have known better than to believe some PR wanker. Emperor's new clothes, etc, etc.

Yep, I did. I'm a very big fan of those three films (well all of his films actually).
Got Thirst and it's region locked.

Here's a link to the press release I read back in October outlining the full specs of the release. Unfortunately, BR does not appear to be in the equation at all.

http://www.hkflix.com/interact/xq/asp/did.471/q...As someone who is in contact with a Tartan rep, the reason they were pushed back were to create a Blu-Ray box as well.

Oddly enough we're in contact with them as well, hence this news piece
The press release definitely mentions both Blu-ray and DVD.

Ah, good to know. Hopefully the BR treatments are better than what Oldboy has already received. Either way, pretty stoked about being privy to a release of the trilogy that is boasted as more comprehensive than any other release in the world...and for such extraordinary films, no less.
Well, it's 19th March and i can't find the Blu-ray set details. Amazon just lists the DVD set. They also list a 6 Disc Blu-ray set for June 15th. I'm not sure if this is the same thing. Anybody have any updates? I wouldn't want to buy the DVD set if I have the option of picking up the Blu-ray with the same extras.
UPDATE:
I just read on Blu-ray.com that this set comes out on June 15th on Blu-ray. It will be a 4 disc affair. Discs 1-3 are Blu and Disc 4 is a DVD.
Disc 1 will comprise of Discs 1 and 2 of the DVD set.
Disc 2 will comprise of Discs 3 to 5 of the DVD set (including Autobiography of Old Boy).
Disc 3 will comprise of Discs 6 and 7 of the DVD set (the 2 versions of Lady Vengeance).
Disc 4 is the same as Disc 8 of the DVD set.
Guess I have to wait a little longer now!
