The cover art is really awful. In any case, I'll probably Netflix this.

That's true. For me the series always rested on the kids and now that their films are over with I really don't have an interest to see the others made.

(OFF-TOPIC) The site said from the get-go (all those years ago) that the word was the most-used word in any forum site. In order for the boards to not get clogged with this word, they added it to the language filter to deter people from using it and making them use more imaginative ways to comment on a movie. It's genius and mature of them to do so, unlike so many movie and game forum sites.

I was extremely underwhelmed with the first movie in this franchise that I never got around to "Prince Caspian." This one doesn't look any better, thus I will avoid it as well. Gimme Harry Potter any day. I would much rather see "His Dark Materials" be finished than the "Narnia" franchise continue.

I did not expect FOX to go all-out for the DVD and BD of this movie considering it only did alright. I'm assuming the BD packaging is some sort of fold out and/or book design from the looks of it. It's very handsome to be sure but it will stick out next to the first two entries on my shelf.
^They made more from this film then Caspian, even though you might not see it by looking at box office gross alone. You have to take into account the production budget which was much lower in Dawn Treader then Caspian. Looking at that this movie was much more profitable. If they keep the budget the same or even lower and still make $360+ million, they will keep making money.
The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Last Film. They won't make anymore.
Damn, I was hoping the kids would join Michael Apted in the commentary the way they did with Andrew Adamson for the first two DVDs.
Interesting that there doesn't seem to be any signs of a one-disc DVD release. That's rare, these days.

And for such a big budget I felt the movie was really quite lacklustre and cheap looking... especially that dragon.
To be honest, I thought "Prince Caspian" and "Voyage of the Dawn Treader" BOTH had no magic whatsoever, not just the 3rd. I honestly think it was a bad idea to make the Narnia series into movies. I mean, the first one was pretty damn good, but the sequels pale in comparison, by A LOT. Harry Potter, so far, is the only book series that benefited from being turned into a movie franchise. Twilight? AWFUL. Narnia? 1st was good, 2nd/3rd SNOOZE-FEST, Harry Potter? Very entertaining.

I think the VFX is on par with the first two. Try and compare it later if u don't believe me. It's the 3D that sucks. The dragon was supposed to be clumsy & goofy looking since it transformed from the clumsy & goofy looking Eustace. The monster at the ending was good.

Well Caspian Is An A$$HOLE AND Aslan Is Everything And @Disciple Yes Your Collection Is really Huge Really Really Huge Congrats You Look Like A Rich Boy
One of the best movies of the year! The Narnia films are one of the best movies I've ever seen! I'm so getting the Blu-Ray Combo, but they should of replaced the White Witch with Caspian on the cover. Either way, first-day-buy for me! The Narnia films will never get old for me.
This is totally off topic, but Saccyind, here's a list of all of My Narnia collectibles: http://forum.narniaweb.com/viewtopic.php?f=6&am... (a bit out of date though, need to update.)
I enjoyed it the most of the three films. I'd really like to see all seven films get made, but realistically I reckon if a sequel was on the cards, it would have been announced by now. However I look forward to being proven wrong.
Turns out I didn't miss it. Easily the best of the three films and one of my favorite books of the series. I did think the ending was a bit too preachy though. The film was lacking a decent lesson compared to the others.
don't get me wrong pal but i thought i have the Biggest Narnia Collection.Well The Film Was Very Good Aslan Rocks
As a huge Narnia fan and the proud owner of the biggest collection of Narnia collectibles & merchandise (related to the films)in the world, I have to say that I was hugely disappointed by this film.
It's a total mess of a film that does almost nothing right. The beginning and the end of it were brilliant, so was Will Poulter as Eustace, but the seven swords and the green mist ruined it for me.
Also, I'm surprised this wasn't nominated in the "Most Eye Gouging Mis-Use of 3-D" category of the Razzies.
Btw, the art work for this is a lot better than the absolutely horrible posters they released for it (that were made by amateurs).
Extras:
* Deleted Scenes (The Kids In Narnia…, Eustace II, Mutiny, Caspian Doubt) (05:35)
* Music Video: There´s A Place For Us (By Carrie Underwood). (00:59)
* VFX Reel – Progression With Optional Commentary By Michael Apted And Mark Johnson. (12:58)
* Good vs. Evil: Battle On The Sea. (10:53)
* Portal To Narnia: A Painting Comes To Life. (07:20)

I liked this one, but I didn't think it was NEARLY as good as Prince Caspian. I wouldn't keep my hopes up for another one, which is really a bummer as I'd really love to see the rest, mainly considering Lion, The With, and The Wardrobe was my least favorite book. But one of the major problems with this one was that they changed a bunch of stuff for no real reason. All that c**p about the swords and the mist was was pretty unnecessary. My memory of the book is far from 100%, but i find it hard to believe that it was too boring for film audiences.
Seriously, you can't say c**p on this site, that's f**king ridiculous, are their 4 year olds on this site, or just Mormons?

I hope for the fans' sake they make more, but it sounds like they barely broke even on this one.
The budget was an estimated $140-$155M, which is a lot less than what "Prince Caspian" cost to make and market (and it wasn't promoted heavily, I only noticed two TV spots for it). Not to mention it's Fox's first $100M grossing film in over a year. It probably won't cost as much to make "Silver Chair" or "Magician's Nephew" due to a new cast of characters.
Fox deserves a decent franchise other than "Avatar", "Wimpy Kid" and their "X-Men" franchises.

I enjoyed the first two movies, and I wanted to go see this one, but I never got the chance to. I'll probably rent it to see if it's worth buying...I've heard mixed opinions about it.

Don't be. Actually, I wish "I" missed this one.
It's not bad, don't get me wrong, it's just average. Average action. Average 3D. Average acting. Average story. I found that the movie was just a pleasure to look at, but not a pleasure to be in. 5/10.
It's better than the 2nd, but not by much. The magic is still missing from the first one.
On another note, I'm surprised this film isn't getting a Blu-ray 3D. Hell, if Piranha 3D (a box office bomb) can get that release, why can't "Voyage" get on either.

It opened with $24M, but had a good 5x multiplier throughout the holiday season. It had decent word-of-mouth, and it was far better than what the critics said it was.
Although I hadn't read the source novel it was based on, maybe that's why some fans are riled about the changes.

Wanted to see it but didn't hear it was as good as the first two. Can't wait to rent this.
Not that I care but ud figure a 3d bluray would come as welll. I didn't care for this one, just kinda boring to me but oh well
Are we getting a 2-disc DVD release or will it be a single-disc affair? From info I've heard, we'll have both a single-disc DVD, 2-disc DVD and the Blu-ray/DVD combo pack.
And I hope it has commentary with Michael Apted and the cast...

I'm glad that this film finally reached the 100mil mark in the US and is doing extremely well in the foreign box office. This was really good and that means we may get another Narnia film. Over 350mil worldwide and still hasn't reached Japan and Venezuela yet.
Bummed I missed this one.
Pretty good movie. Better than the second one IMO... almost as good as the first.
I never got a chance to go see this but will definitely rent. I am happy to see it broke 100m in the domestic box office and over 300m worldwide. Though it didn't gross as much in theatres as the previous 2, it still managed to be a little more profitable then Prince Caspian because of it's much smaller budget and should do well on DVD/Bluray.
Prince Caspian grossed 419m worldwide but cost 225m, Dawn Treader grossed 366m while only costing 155m. All this coming from BoxOfficeMojo of course. Profit margin means something right? It would still be worth making these movies, just at the smaller budget like Dawn Treader? I am just hoping they keep making them, they could still have more hits if they pull it off right with the rest of the series. I heard this one was very good but it left some people confused who had not read the books and/or seen the other 2 movies.
