I'm shocked this is getting a two-disc release.
More likely the 2-disc set will have the screen formats (1.33:1 and 2.35:1 anamorphic) split up on one disc each with the same extras on both. If Sony is doing that, they should just release the DVD in widescreen only a la "Spider-Man 3".
This has nothing to do with the Water Horse. I could care less about this movie. But YlowBstrd66, we have almost exactly the same amount of DVDs and our first two are the same...weird.
As long as it's not like the 2-disc release like I Am Legend...Ugh!
2-disc?
Why? Did anyone actually like this?

2-disc edition.
Really weird! This did horrible at the box office, so that makes people not see it.
What makes 2-disc appealing. This tells me that people that make DVDs are really desperate for money.

Too late. There's only 2 special features.

Is there anything Pete Hammond dislikes?
I am also surprised that this is getting a 2-Disc special edition dvd. However, I was interested in the film and more people liked it than not. Since it's a 2-Disc set with a 6 featurette's and deleted scenes, and great coverart, I may blind buy it.
I'm in the UK and it was released at the cinema here yesterday and I can't wait to see it. I love anything to do with the Loch Ness phenomenon. As for getting a 2-disc edition - why not!!?? It means folks like me who will probably enjoy the film get something special when it comes out on DVD! My only gripe with the Region 1 release is that cover art - the theatrical poster art is a lot better. Hopefully the R2 release will go for the original artwork!?
Videoeta announced that this movie was going to be released March 25th...they tricked me!
It didn't do horrible at the Box Office. It did pretty solid for a movie like this, grossing over 40 Million.
A 2-Disc edition probably isn't needed, but it's cool that it's getting one anyway. It looked cute. I'll give it a rent.

I thought the title was mislead as this is the Loch Ness Monster isnt it ?
Anyway I will rent this to see if I want it ..safe way to do things

Clearly I'm the only person that's actually seen the movie and short of our theater showing the most innappropriate trailers before it (Given the movie), I really liked it. It's a light family movie though the war overtone gets a bit heavy at times it's a really good movie.
Highres artwork added...
If I like this film, I'll get it on Blu-ray.
im so glad SONY or COLUMBIA, or whatever the studio is...
it's releasing their good movies, or any movies on 2-discs...
nice...

Renter for sure, looks interesting
I wonder if the Japanese set will have a toy water horse with it....

p.s Great cover!
