Warner has announced The Wicker Man which stars Nicolas Cage, Ellen Burstyn, Leelee Sobieski, and Christa Campbell. The disc will be available to own from the 19th December, and should set you back around $28.98. The film itself will be presented in 2.40:1 anamorphic widescreen, along with an English Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround track. Two versions of the movie will be included - an unrated cut with an alternate end sequence, and the theatrical cut. The only extra material will be a commentary by writer/director Neil LaBute, co-stars Leelee Sobieski and Kate Beahan, editor Joel Plotch and costume designer Lynette Meyer, and the theatrical trailer. We've attached the official package artwork below:

I saw the original wicker man and I like how this stuck close but yet strayed from the original source. It is not as bad as everyone is saying on here but the original is better. I'll probably buy it but I hate that fire banner across the center.
Nicholas Cage actually produced this?
Ugly cover...
Cage apparently was a huge fan of the original, and talked with Joey Ramone about it, who was also a fan. When Ramone was dying, Cage promised him he would do a remake, hence the dedication to Joey Ramone at the end of the film.
I can imagine the meeting - "So how are we going to ruin this movie cover this time? I know - let's put a big banner in the middle of it!"

To me this is easily one of the worst films of the decade so far. Absolutely horrible, and not even in that FUN, so bad it's good way!
